Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 820

Harrison ran over and started gossiping as soon as Cherie arrived at home.

“Cherie, how was your date with Tyler?”

Cherie bit her lips and said, “Tyler confessed to me.”

“Did you accept him?”

“No. We grew up together but I never thought he would have feelings for me.”

Harrison moved closer to her and shrugged. “I knew Tyler had feelings for you since a long time ago. Why did he follow you around if he didn’t like you? I think you’re the one who keep acting dumb because you don’t want expose him.”

Cherie was distraught. He was her childhood friend and she did not know how to face him in the future. Moreover, she had a fight with Tyler earlier. She was frustrated.

“But he always bullied me since I was young. It doesn’t seem like he likes me at all.”

“He bullies you because he wants to attract your attention. Can’t you understand that?”

Cheris gulped and said, “Anyway, I rejected him. I made myself clear so that we’ll still remain friends in the future.”

“Cherie, I don’t understand. What’s wrong with Tyler? Are you into someone else?”

Cherie avoided Harrison’s gaze as he got her pegged. She stood up and pushed Harrison out of the room. “I’m sleepy. Get out. I’m going to take a bath and get some sleep.”

“Cherie, are you really secretly dating a guy?”

Cherie said, “This is grown-up business. Keep your nose out of it!”

“You’re only five years older than me. How dare you call yourself an adult?”

“I am an adult. Harrison, are you a full-grown man?”

She pushed Harrison straight out the door and slammed the door shut.

The National Day Holiday was over. The first thing Cherie did after she went back to the capital was to find Boyle.

Cherie was sitting outside her dorm when Boyle rushed back to school. She was agonizing over a huge package.

Boyle frowned and asked, “What did you buy?”

“It’s a keyboard. I didn’t really practice my piano after college started and my skills deteriorated so I asked my mum to deliver this to me.”

Boyle asked, “Are you allowed to practice your keyboard in your dorm?”

Cherie said, “I certainly can’t do that. If I practice my keyboard in the dorm, someone will for sure complain to the House Master.”

“I’ll find someone to move your keyboard to my place for now.”

Cherie smiled upon hearing that. “I had that idea as well. However, I was afraid you might not like it.”

Boyle called a cab and the both of them moved the keyboard to the house Boyle rented.

Boyle and Hector lived in an apartment with two bedrooms. Fortunately, the boys did not have much belongings. Their living room was quite empty so there was room for her to put her keyboard.

“You can come here anytime when you want to practice. I’ll give you a key later.”

Cherie sat in front of her keyboard and played a few notes. She asked, “Will Hector mind if I practice here? Will I disturb him?”

Boyle smiled and poured her a cup of water. “I pay for the rent so he doesn’t have any right to be unhappy with you practicing here. He’s not sleeping on the streets now because I took him in.”

Cherie smiled and said, “Then, he can’t complain even if I come here often.”

Boyle looked at her teasingly as he sat next to her. He pressed the keys as he asked her, “Why do you want to come here often?”

Cherie was speechless.

He knew the answer to that question. “I… of course I’ll be coming here to practice my keyboard. I’ve learned piano for so many years and I can’t simply give up.”

His gaze was too intense and her face was starting to heat up.

She quickly avoided his gaze and continued playing her piano. However, the man pinched her chin lightly and turned her face toward him. Their lips got entangled.
