Cherie was unpacking her luggage while sitting on the carpet in the room.
When Boyle entered after he was done doing the dishes, he noticed a pile of bottles, cans, and a few lipsticks in the trash can.
Boyle picked up a thermos flask from the trash can as he sat beside her. He was a little confused as he asked, "Are they expired?"
Cherie snatched the thermos flask from him and threw it into the trash can again as she said, "They aren’t. I just don't want them anymore."
"Have they offended you?" Boyle asked while chuckling.
Cherie raised her brows as she thought about how Natalie had already used these items—such as her lipstick and other things—without her permission. Since they were no longer friends and these items would remind her of Natalie, she decided to throw them all away.
"Hey Boyle, do you think I'm very wasteful by throwing so many things away?"
"A little."
Cherie pouted her lips and said, "It’s not like I’m throwing them away on purpose."
Boyle patted her little head as he knew she must have had her own reasons to throw out so many things so he did not scold her about it.
"What are you going to use after throwing out everything?
Cherie squinted her huge eyes and jokingly said, "Well, since you're my boyfriend, are you willing to buy me new stuff?"
Boyle raised his brows and surprisingly said, "Of course I am."
He replied to her without a shred of hesitation.
"Really?"
Boyle found it funny when he stared at her surprised look and said, "I'll buy them tomorrow. Go ahead and quickly unpack. Take a shower and go to bed."
When Cherie entered the washroom to take a shower, Boyle glanced at the opened luggage on the floor.
A mix of clothing and books could be seen in the messy luggage.
Boyle smiled as he shook his head.
He then bent over and started taking everything out of the luggage, helping her to neatly unpack.
When Cherie got out of the washroom with her completely drenched hair, Boyle pulled her into his arms, snatching the towel away from her hand as he helped dry her wet hair.
"Did you help me unpack?"
Boyle replied, "Cherie, your luggage is a complete mess. Did you know I have severe OCD?"
Boyle squeezed her little face.
…
The following day when Cherie returned to Greentown Condominium after her classes were over, she noticed a box of skincare products placed by the entrance the moment she entered the house.
Cherie was stunned and when she took a glance at the box, she saw lots of lipsticks and skincare products inside.
"Boyle? Are you home?"
She carried the huge box of skincare products into his study. When she entered, she saw that he was already in his study.
"Did you buy me all this?" Cherie squinted her eyes and cracked a huge smile at him.
Boyle looked up from his laptop and slouched a little from his seat as he inched closer to her.
"Open it and take a look to see if it's right for you. I bought the same brands you threw away yesterday."
While Cherie was going through the box’s contents, she said, "I'll use anything you buy for me but you bought so much. You must've spent a lot of money, right?"
Boyle simply replied ‘yeah’ in a carefree manner.
Cherie found plenty of lipstick in the box. There were a plethora of different brands and colors. She asked him, "Did you pick all the lipstick colors yourself?"
"It was recommended by the staff since I didn't exactly know what or how to pick them out. I wasn’t sure what colors you liked."
Cherie found a specific color palette for the bunch of lipsticks. It was none other than the infamous 'Deadly Barbie Pink' that was viral online.
"Boyle, you were scammed."
"Huh?"
