Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 827

Cherie asked, "Tell me what’s the jacket’s brand then? How much does it even cost?"

Natalie panicked for a moment as she swiftly recovered from her shock and replied confidently, "Why are you asking me that? Why should I tell you?"

"Because I happen to have one that looks exactly like it. It went missing during the few days I wasn't around."

Natalie was immediately agitated after hearing that and furiously exclaimed, "What are you trying to say, Cherie? Are you accusing me of stealing your stuff?"

Since she left in such a hurry when she got burned back then, she did not have time to lock her wardrobe. Because of that, it was left unlocked when she was not around.

Her wardrobe was neat and tidy before she left. However, it looked like a complete mess at that moment.

Cherie replied with a bitter look, "I intended to settle this privately but since you’re clearly unapologetic about it, I have no choice but to leave this matter to the cops."

With gritted teeth, Natalie exclaimed, "Cherie! It's nothing more than a single piece of clothing! So what if I borrowed it for a few days! Fine, I'll just return it to you!"

Natalie exploded in a fit of rage and accidentally slipped up.

"So you admit that you took this jacket from my wardrobe then?"

Natalie bit her tongue and had quite the bitter look on her face but still shamelessly exclaimed, "So what if I borrowed it for just a few days? We're roommates after all. Are you really that stingy to your friends?"

"We are roommates but here's the thing, have you ever treated me as your friend, Natalie? You didn't even give me the most basic form of respect. Since you don't respect me, why should I do the same for you?"

Natalie bit her lips and said, “Can’t you just drop the whole thing?"

Natalie took the jacket off and threw it at Cherie as she exclaimed, "Here's your damn jacket! Just drop the whole incident already!"

Cherie did not bother to pick up the jacket when it touched the ground nor did she continue arguing with Natalie.

Instead, she turned around and packed up a few random clothes and some of her skincare and makeup products from her wardrobe into her luggage.

When she noticed what was happening, Joy asked, "Are you going to move out, Cherie? Natalie’s just dumb. Can you just forget about the issue with her? Come on now, we've been living together for so long so let's talk things out. You don't have to move out."

After Cherie was done packing, she left the dorm without even taking a single glance at the jacket on the ground.

Natalie clenched her fists as she looked at the jacket and asked with gritted teeth, "What’s up with Cherie! So now she thinks the clothes I've worn are dirty and doesn't want them anymore?!"

Joy frowned and glared at her as she said, "Natalie, this is completely your fault. You need to apologize to Cherie next time!"

Natalie immediately refused to do so in a prideful manner as she said, "No way! She isn't the only wealthy lady in the entire world! Why should I bend over backward just for her!"

Joy could no longer stand her tantrums as she exclaimed, "Look, just tell me which day of the week during Cherie's absence have you not used her skincare or lipstick? I'd be mad too if I was Cherie. You can't just take other people's stuff without asking them."

Natalie's eyes turned red from being so furious. She snapped at Joy, "Just because Cherie's rich and is so nice to you guys all the time, it’s made you and Mandy side with her, right!"

Joy sighed speechlessly as she lamented, "Whatever you say."

Boyle had to go to court for a trial today. After he was done with the trial, he returned to the law firm to take care of some work.

It was already 8.30pm by the time he was about to head home.

When he looked at his phone, he was surprised to see that the little brat had not texted him for the entire day. It was rare for her not to do so.

He was also unsure if she had already eaten dinner or not.

After Boyle typed in the pin when he got home, the soft little brat suddenly lunged into him while hugging his neck tightly with both arms.

"Surprise!"

Boyle assumed his house was broken into as he reached out to hug the little child. He lowered his gaze and asked, "I thought you said you'd be staying at your dorm today. Why'd you come over?"

Cherie raised her head to look at the man's handsome face as she said, "Am I not welcomed here? I thought you'd be surprised."

Boyle chuckled as he teased, "I’m not surprised, only shocked. I actually thought my house had been broken into by a burglar or something."

"Hmph."
