Boyle had to work overtime tonight.
Cherie returned to the Greentown Condominium alone while carrying her backpack.
She received a text from Boyle when she arrived home. He was asking her, "What do you want to eat for dinner later?"
Cherie replied, "Spicy aglio olio!"
When Boyle returned home at eight, he was carrying a pack of spicy aglio olio.
Cherie was sitting on the carpet by the couch while rubbing her little hands together. She seemed very excited for her meal.
Boyle walked over to her and opened up the plastic bag. He chuckled when he noticed how excited she was. He said, "That excited aren't you?"
"I haven't had spicy aglio olio in a really long time now. I really want to take a bite right now."
Cherie was leaning beside the table the instant the plastic bag opened. She was having a blast while she ate.
She suddenly realized something halfway through her meal as she looked up and asked, "Oh, that's right, Boyle, what are you going to eat?"
"I had dinner with Huntley and the others at the law firm earlier."
"Okay then, don't mind if I do."
The woman picked up the plate and placed it by her lips before scooping it into her mouth. It tasted so good that she was about to cry.
Spicy aglio olio and KFC were amongst her favorite foods.
The only thing was, Heaton was quite strict with her at home. Hence, she could only have KFC with Monty in secret during her school days.
Even if she was ordering takeout at night, she would have to request for her takeout order to be left alone by the entrance!
She was afraid of her father finding out about it.
Boyle was sitting on the couch while staring at the little brat who was sitting on the carpet. He said, "Do you have anything that you haven’t told me, Cherie?"
Cherie put her fork and plate down before looking up and staring at him with her beady eyes. She said, "Are you talking about the posts in the forum?"
"Yeah. Why did you hide it from me?"
She pouted her lips and said, "I didn’t mean to hide it from you. I only thought it was nothing and I shouldn't bother you about it."
Boyle said, "I don't really go online that much and I don't really read the school's forums. You know, if it wasn't for Hector telling me about it today, I wouldn't have known about you becoming so famous in school."
"Well, it's not exactly considered a viral thing anyway. Besides, I'm not even bothered by it."
"But I am." Boyle stared intensely at her.
Cherie assumed Boyle was bothered about how he was being insulted by the online trolls so she frantically said, "Don't you worry. I won't allow those trolls to defame you. I've already warned them that I will pursue legal action against anyone who does."
Boyle frowned harder as he said, "I was talking about me being bothered by you getting bullied online."
"... I'm fine and besides, I don't even know those people so I'm not even bothered by it."
Boyle replied, "But it hurts me."
Cherie was stunned before opening her arms at him with a huge smile.
Boyle reached out to carry her onto his lap while hugging her. He said, "You'll need to inform me immediately if anything like this was to happen again in the future, okay?"
"Will you stand up for me then?" A certain someone was staring at Boyle with a smug look.
"I will." Boyle replied with a confident tone.
Cherie smiled wider and said, "I love that you love me the most. Hehe."
Boyle lowered his head and kissed her white little forehead.
Cherie leaned in his arms while playing with the buttons of his shirt. She said while blinking her eyes, "I initially didn't think much about this since they were insulting me but I wasn't really bothered by it. I don't even like them and all will be well as long as you don't misunderstand me."
