Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 852

After Heaton and Verian received a phone call from the school's counselor, they immediately rushed over to the capital.

The hospital Cherie was sent to coincidentally belonged to the Gale family.

The best surgeon and medical team was arranged to treat Cherie's miscarriage.

Both Heaton and Verian were anxiously waiting outside of the operating theater.

The counselor bowed to both Heaton and Verian as he apologized, "Mr. Fudd, Madam Fudd, I'm truly sorry that something like this happened to Cherie. It's my fault for not keeping a close enough eye on my students."

Heaton and Verian were not unreasonable people, especially Heaton. Even though something this serious had happened, they were still able to think rationally.

Jelly Bean's accident was not the counselor's fault. However, them as parents felt awful for not being there for Jelly Bean and not noticing what was happening to their daughter.

Heaton politely replied, "Mr. Lane, this isn't entirely your fault since I understand how much problems my daughter's accident had already given you."

Chase Lane was a man in his forties and seemed very polite. He was Cherie's counselor and was also a very good friend of Boyle’s.

Chase shook his head and blamed himself, "I was once Boyle's teacher too and is also very close with him. I encouraged him when I found out Boyle was dating Cherie back then. I'm truly sorry, I didn't expect something like this would happen."

Chase had also never expected that the usually calm and collected Boyle would also lose control.

Heaton's gaze trembled and he cracked a bitter look. However, he did not say anything.

Chase did not do anything wrong since no teacher had the right to intervene when university students started dating anyway.

Verian's heart was racing ever since she departed from North City all the way to the capital. She felt incredibly anxious.

She was tearing up when she stared at the bright red light outside of the operating theater.

Jelly Bean had always been spoiled ever since she was a child. It was rare for her to stumble or fall when she was little. Even if she did, everyone would flock over to comfort her.

She had never been in an operating theater in her life and now that she was alone in there, she would be in extreme pain when she woke up later.

Heaton hugged Verian and comforted her in a deep voice, "Don't worry. The doctors in there are the best. Nothing is going to happen to Jelly Bean."

Boyle's world was now completely shrouded in darkness.

It was during rush hour traffic and the roads were severely congested.

He got off at Silent Road and ran all the way to Peace Road.

He was completely drenched in sweat and seemed as if he did not even have time to catch his breath.

He bumped into a lot of people when he ran into the hospital. When he finally arrived at the operating theater, the beads of sweat on his forehead trickled down his face.

Verian had seen Boyle's picture from Cherie's phone before and he looked handsome. She immediately recognized him when he ran over.

Verian seemed to have completely lost control as she yelled at him, "What are you doing here? Have you not done enough harm to Jelly Bean? I don't even have the heart to scold or raise my hand at her and now as she's bleeding so much in there because of you! Do you know how much blood she's lost? She's never lost this much blood before even when she was still a child! It's all your fault! It's all your fault…"

Her tears began to fall.

She was furious at Boyle and was hurt because Jelly Bean was in there. She was intensely blaming herself.

"Calm down, Riana." Heaton reached out to pat Verian's back.

Boyle was stunned while he tried to catch his breath. His chest was heaving while he stared intensely at the bright light outside of the operating theater. His entire body was frozen.

His arms were shaking beside his legs.

He truly had no idea that she was pregnant with his child.

If he had known about it, he would never have allowed her to fall down the stairs nor would he allow her to lose so much blood. Boyle would rather have him be the one bleeding and lying in the operating theater than her.

Verian was bawling in Heaton's arms and upon noticing Boyle was still standing there, she furiously glared at him as she exclaimed, "Please leave. Don't let me see you again."
