Natalie was dressed in a fancy dress while holding a Prada bag. She was also wearing a pair of Jimmy Choo high heels while walking over to them.
Wealth emanated from every inch of her body.
Mandy could not help but tease, "Natalie, what in the world does your boyfriend do for a living? You’re pretty much dressed in money from head to toe."
Joy nudged Natalie as she said while chuckling, "Wow, you're rich now. Oh, that's right, didn't you mention that your boyfriend has opened up a five-star hotel in the capital? Is it called the Ambition Luxury Hotel?"
Mandy was a little shocked as she asked, "Really? My husband and I wanted to organize a party at the capital. The party is only for our friends. You know, we thought about hosting it in the Ambition Luxury Hotel too. Hey, Natalie, is your boyfriend the hotel’s manager?"
An arrogant glint could be seen in Natalie's eyes as she exclaimed, "Oh, he's not working for anyone. He happens to own the hotel so that means he's the hotel’s chairman. If you guys are interested in hosting any events there, I can have him give you guys a seventy percent discount. Besides, we're all old coursemates, and not to mention, we were also once roommates. It’s nothing, really."
Mandy replied, "That's great. My husband and I were so hesitant since we thought that the place was a little too expensive. If we're given a seventy percent discount though, it’ll no doubt make things a lot easier for us. Thank you so much, Natalie."
Natalie brushed her long hair and said, "Oh, it’s nothing much. Don’t worry about it."
Whitney scoffed intentionally and mocked her, "It's not even her own hotel so what's there to be envious about anyway?"
Natalie grinned and took a glance at Whitney. She had obviously noticed Cherie who was standing beside Cherie.
She looked beautiful and even though she was only standing there in silence, she was able to attract so much attention to her.
Cherie did not put on much makeup and was only wearing a simple set of clothes. All she did was apply a light layer of foundation on her face with a very light tint of lipstick on her lips. She looked very low-profile but her skin was very fair and beautiful.
Natalie clenched her fist. She put in so much effort into her makeup today and felt the need to compete with Cherie to the very end.
She could not lose to her after meeting with her for the first time in seven years.
Natalie chuckled and said, "Well, there are some people who'd get jealous of things they can never have. It would only make them complain out of spite. I understand that, you know."
Whitney scoffed.
She thought to herself, 'Oh please, he's nothing more than the owner of the Ambition Luxury Hotel. Get off your stupid high horse.'
Whitney hugged Cherie's arm and continued to mock her, "Oh please, Cherie's dad can buy the Ambition Luxury Hotel without even blinking an eye if he wants to."
Natalie was fuming with rage as she gritted her teeth.
Cherie secretly slapped Whitney's hand to tell her that there was no need to argue with her.
If Natalie enjoyed showing off then so be it. It was her right to do so anyway.
Since Joy and Mandy were roommates with Natalie and it was true that Whitney started the entire argument, it was only natural for them to step in and side with her.
Since it infuriated Whitney just looking at her, Whitney told Cherie, "Hey, Cherie, I need to catch up with some of my coursemates over there. We'll meet up again later since Huntley will be treating us to lunch so don't bail on us, alright?"
"Alright. We'll contact each other through the phone then."
Natalie had been mingling with the social elites in the capital in the past few years so she obviously knew about the reputation of the Scott family in the capital.
"Huntley as in Huntley Scott? The wealthy son of the Scott family?" Natalie instinctively asked.
Whitney rolled her eyes at her as she exclaimed, "I'm sorry, that man is mine. If you want to ruin relationships, you should find someone else."
She was brutally blunt when she made that statement. Whitney turned around and left immediately, denying Natalie any chance of snapping back at her.
