During the event on Saturday.
The instant Huntley and Whitney arrived, Huntley was immediately dragged away by a few of his old coursemates. Whitney decided to complain to Cherie after meeting up with her.
"You actually had the heart to ditch someone as adorable as me and come over to the capital alone."
Cherie replied with a smile, "Oh, I just wanted to come over and visit alone first. I actually ran into Mr. Lane yesterday too."
"Oh, your counselor from back then. I heard he's really polite and nice. If I didn't end up dating Huntley back then, I would've gone after him."
Cherie burst out laughing and rolled her eyes. "Oh my lord, I didn't expect you to be insane enough to actually go after Mr. Lane. You know that he has a wife, right?"
"I was just joking. I'd date any handsome men."
Whitney grabbed Cherie's arm as they walked while joking amongst themselves.
There were plenty of people gathered in different groups at the event.
Cherie asked, "Aren't you going to look for your course mates?"
Whitney pouted her lips and said, "Why should I look for them? You're still my best friend during my university days so I'd obviously be hanging out with you."
Just as they were walking through the crowd, Cherie spotted their old coursemates when they were still doing their English program back then.
Cherie was quite popular because of how beautiful she looked back then when she was still in the English program.
When Cherie and Whitney walked over to them, they caught many people’s attention.
"Whoa, isn't that Cherie? She was the most attractive and popular girl from our course, remember?
“Wow, she hasn’t even changed the slightest. She's still so pretty."
"Sigh, she had a miscarriage back then. It seems the incident had impacted her life negatively."
"I think she's a world-famous pianist now. Oh, that's right, I believe she's Momo."
"I think she's already broken up with Boyle."
"I mean she's already suffered from a miscarriage. Is she really going to sink lower if she doesn't break up with him? Come on now."
