Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 899

They were sitting at the dining table the next morning.

Boyle and Cherie were having their breakfast while they sat across each other.

Chubby Boney was lying down next to the table, watching them eat.

The sunlight scattered on the man, the woman, and the cat through the window. The scene was exceptionally heart-warming.

Boyle handed Cherie a bowl of millet porridge.

Cherie was munching on her dumplings. The soup was rich and delicious while the dumpling wrapper was thin. The filling smelled very nice.

It did not seem like Boyle made the dumplings.

“Where did you buy the dumplings from?”

“It’s from a steamed bun shop in the Moonlight District.”

A steamed bun shop from Moonlight District. It was very far away from Lake Street. It took about an hour’s drive for him to get there. Moreover, there would always be a long queue at that shop during peak hours in the morning. That shop was very popular.

They were known for their dumplings.

Although Cherie spent most of her time in Philadelphia for the past seven years, she always ate dumplings from that shop when she was young.

Her father used to buy them for Monty, so she and Little Pickle would get to eat them as well.

She dipped a dumpling into the vinegar with her chopsticks and could not help saying, “I missed these dumplings a lot when I was in Philadelphia.”

Boyle lifted his head to look at her. He said in a gentle voice, “I can hire the chef from that shop if you like them. He can make dumplings just for you.”

Cherie rejected him immediately. She mumbled quietly, “You’ll get bored if you eat too many dumplings.”

Moreover, it was not like she would be staying at his place all the time.

It was only her third time visiting his mansion at Lake Street.

Boyle did not say much. He would not do it if she did not want it. He said, “You’re right. Food tastes better when you share them with other people. It’s not really nice to keep them for yourself.”

Cherie’s phone, which was on the table, rang.

Cherie picked up her phone and said, “Hello.”

“Hello. Is this Momo, the pianist?”

“Yes, speaking.”

“Hello, Master Momo. I’m calling from the publicity department of Unicorn Group. I’ve contacted you before regarding our business dinner. We would like to invite you to participate in our dinner. Are you…”

Boyle snatched Cherie’s phone away from her before the person could finish talking.

Boyle said, “I’m sorry, Momo is not feeling well recently. She won’t be able to participate in any events or shows anytime soon. Thank you.”

He hung up as soon as he was done talking.

Cherie said, “Who said that I’m not feeling well? I’m fine.”

Boyle looked at her and said, “I have to tell you something.”

Boyle stood up and walked toward his study room as he said, “You go ahead and eat your porridge. I’ll go get some stuff.”

Boyle came down with two documents in his hands after three minutes.

Cherie frowned as she looked at the document on the table. “What is this?”

“This is your contract.”

Confused, Cherie flipped through the pages of the document and her gaze fell on the signatures.

Party A: Cherie Fudd.

Party B: Boyle Lawson.

There was a red company seal as well. It said MO Group.

“I’ve never signed this document before.”
