Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 915

Boyle was going to appear in court as the lawyer representing the plaintiff. It seemed that the lawsuit had gone viral online and on a few major news media networks.

The relationship Boyle shared with Hanson was instantly exposed.

The discussion that went on online was extremely polarising. Some people called Boyle ruthless for going against his own father, while there were also some people who called Boyle an extremely honorable lawyer to have gone out of his way to take his father down without question.

The news reports showed Boyle being swarmed by countless reporters at his villa by Lake Street.

Those reporters were pointing their microphones at him while they fired up countless questions toward him.

"President Lawson, why are you so adamant in going through with this lawsuit? The defendant happens to be related to you. Does it feel bad for you?"

"President Lawson. There was viral news about you online seven years ago. It was about you refusing to pay for your father's living. Is that true?"

"President Lawson, are you embarrassed to have a father who is a convicted kidnapper?"

"President Lawson, I heard the MO Group's stocks have plummeted significantly recently. Is this related to the news about you and your father?"

"President Lawson, how are you planning to answer your major investors and stakeholders regarding the drop in your company's stocks due to your own personal issues?"

He was being bombarded by all kinds of blunt and crass questions.

Boyle looked extremely calm in front of the camera.

The bodyguards around him were trying to stop the new reporters from swarming him. However, due to their numbers, the bodyguards had a hard time escorting Boyle to his car.

However, Boyle did not avoid any of the questions. "Anyone would be embarrassed to have a father like that unless you’re not a law-abiding citizen or lack any form of a moral compass. Aside from bringing me into this world, my father has never done his part as a father when I was growing up. He's an alcoholic, a severe gambler, and abusive. He even took away my school fees when I was little. How can I not hate him? Could any one of you even be labeled as holy as Mother Mary? Should I still respect such an irresponsible person unconditionally as my father?"

Every single word Boyle muttered in his response was blunt and serious. It stunned every reporter around him.

However, Boyle was not done with his blunt reply.

He said, "You guys asked me if I'd feel bad for pressing charges against him but that has nothing to do with the case. The person Hanson kidnapped was the most beloved person to me. I even dreamed about putting him behind bars and here you guys are, questioning and villainizing someone who abides by the rule of law. Why don't you go ahead and interview the main culprit of the kidnapping then? Ask him how he feels about the whole situation. Perhaps by doing so, you people who work for the media might actually contribute something good to society."

The reporters were all speechless, unable to say anything to Boyle’s response.

Boyle's verbal assault was blunt and merciless.

Just as the bodyguards were escorting Boyle into his car, Boyle suddenly turned around to face the camera and exclaimed clearly, "One more thing, I’m here to tell you guys that this is private property so your actions can be considered as breaking and entering since none of you got my permission to enter. I can press charges on each and every one of you."

His voice sounded menacing.

The reporters were all speechless.

They were shocked and terrified of him.

Normally, the reporters would win if they were facing up against any normal person. However, when they were dealing with lawyers, they would lose by a very slight margin. On the other hand, they were completely stumped when the lawyer was Boyle!

Calum drove away after Boyle had gotten in the car.

Calum took a glance at his boss who seemed troubled by heavy thoughts and wanted to say something to ease the tension. However, he did not know what to say.

The higher management from their headquarters in New York had been calling them recently. They were all talking about the news.

Calum did not make Boyle answer any of the calls since Boyle was stressed enough already on his own.

No matter how Boyle tried to paint the picture, the kidnapper was still Boyle's father by the end of the day. Not to mention, the victim of the kidnapping happened to be the woman Boyle loved.

The incident was already stressful enough on its own.
