Their flight from the capital to North City was supposed to be at 10:00 a.m. the next day. However, Boyle changed the time of their flight to the afternoon as Cherie wanted to sleep in and they would have their lunch on board.
Calum came to pick them up at the airport.
Cherie came out of the airport holding Boyle’s arm. Calum smiled as he saw the wedding ring on his boss and his mistress’ fingers.
Cherie leaned on Boyle’s lap as they were about to reach the mansion at Lake Street. She opened her eyes suddenly and asked, “Do you have condoms at home?”
Her voice was not too loud, yet Calum heard her and he choked.
There was no lever in the car. Boyle lifted his head to look at Calum who was driving in front. He was obviously not happy with Calum being over dramatic.
However, Boyle was somewhat stunned by Cherie’s straightforwardness.
He did not have any condoms in the mansion at Lake Street.
Boyle did not keep condoms at home throughout the seven years after they broke up because he never slept with any other girls before.
Boyle took a glance outside the window and ordered Calum, “Let’s drop by at the convenience store for a while.”
Calum said, “Yes, boss.”
Calum thought to himself, ‘Is the boss starting over and having a good life again?’
The black Maybach stopped in front of the convenience store.
Cherie wanted to buy some snacks, so she followed Boyle down from car.
The convenience store was not too large nor too small. Cherie shopped for a while and bought a basket of food.
Boyle grabbed two boxes of condoms when they arrived at the cashier.
The cashier kept looking over at the Boyle as it was her first time seeing such a handsome guy. Her eyes were sparkling when she looked at him.
Was Boyle really that good looking?
Cherie grabbed another two boxes of condoms and tossed it at the cashier expressionlessly. She said solemnly, “We’ll use it quite often in the future. Two is not enough.”
Her cold face was filled with possessiveness.
She even chose strawberry flavored ones.
Boyle face-palmed himself. He did not know whether to laugh or to cry. The cashier looked embarrassed and shy as he reached out his hand to pull Cherie’s head into his embrace.
The cashier tried to hold back her laughter as she blushed and said, “Sir… do you still need these two?”
Boyle said, “Yes. Pack them up for me.”
“Sir, the total is 345 bucks. Do you want to pay by mobile or cash?”
Boyle said, “Cash.”
Cherie had already taken out his wallet from his trousers. She took four pieces of hundred bucks notes and handed it over to the cashier.
It was just like seven years ago.
She used to always take his wallet from his pocket whenever they needed to pay for something.
Boyle looked at her and his smile grew wider.
Boyle grabbed the plastic bag and pulled Cherie out of the store after he got back their change. The two girls behind the counter started screaming enviously.
“Damn it! He’s so handsome and he’s so nice to his girlfriend!”
“Yes! He’s so handsome! I saw the rings on their hands. They might be already married!”
