Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 964

Heaton had already called Cherie at noon but Verian gave her another call at night.

Verian said through the phone, "Jelly Bean, you were working overseas for a week and you meet up with Boyle the instant you come home? Your father is very unhappy about this. You and Boyle can take the earliest flight back to North City tomorrow, okay? Bring Boyle home to meet us and we'll have lunch together."

Verian reminded her.

She was worried that Jelly Bean might stay in bed all day and refuse to get up. She was worried that Heaton might be even more unhappy if they were late.

Boyle dared not delay even the slightest the following morning.

He dragged Cherie out of bed very early in the morning.

Cherie sat on the bed with her messy hair while in a daze.

Boyle would come over to rush and nudge her every five minutes. He rushed her like he was squeezing out toothpaste from a tube.

It was Boyle's first official time meeting Cherie's parents. Although he had gone through a lot, he was still nervous.

Boyle was very well aware of Heaton's distaste toward him.

If any father had a daughter as beautiful as Cherie, they would no doubt be extremely worked up and unable to accept the fact that their precious daughter was snatched away by another man.

Since Cherie was far too slow, Boyle made her some egg sandwiches and warmed up a carton of milk before carrying her downstairs, holding onto a pre-packed breakfast.

Cherie took a glance at him while she ate her breakfast in the car and said, "I've never seen you so rushed before."

Boyle replied, "This is my first time officially meeting your parents. It would be inappropriate to be late."

Cherie patted her chest and spoke in a confident tone, "Don't worry. I’ve got your back."

Boyle stared at her with a funny look before reaching out and patting her little head as he said, "Hurry up and finish your milk before it gets cold."

Cherie simply replied, "Sure," before she continued to eat her breakfast.

Boyle could not help but remind her, "Cherie, when I arrive at your house later and after meeting your parents, I need you to be as harsh to me as possible."

Cherie said, "Are you planning some sort of trick, Boyle?"

"Maybe cheap tricks won't be enough to persuade your father to accept me in such a short time, but it's at least better than him being forced to accept me."

Boyle made a fair point as Cherie nodded her head and gave him a huge thumbs up.

"If you don't want to force my father to accept you then why did you hastily register our marriage yesterday?" Cherie asked him a very tough question.

However, Boyle stared at her with a peculiar look as he noticed some crumbs at the corner of her mouth, some foam on the top of her lip. Her eyes looked incredibly beady and she seemed so stunningly pure and innocent.

However, she was even more quick-witted than he expected.

Cherie asked, "What are you staring at me for?"

Boyle took out a piece of tissue and wiped her lips clean.

He had ulterior motives toward her since he wanted nothing more than to marry her for quite some time already.

Cherie reminded him, "Honestly, you don't have to worry too much about whether or not my father is willing to accept or like you. It’s because his impression of you is so low, it's off the scale. All you need to do is perform slightly better and it'll add a few good points for you in his books."

Boyle was speechless.

He actually felt better after that.

They arrived at North City after three hours.

Harrison was the one to pick them up at the airport.

Boyle and Cherie sat in the backseat while Harrison drove.

Harrison took a quick glance through the rearview mirror as he teased, "Oh, my dear brother-in-law, look at how fortunate you are to have me be your driver."

Boyle chuckled awkwardly as he said, "Thanks."

"Oh, there's no need for that since…I beat you up quite badly back then."

Boyle felt awkward since Harrison did not cover for him as he placed his clenched fist by his lips and let out an awkward cough.

Cherie kicked the driver's seat.
