Verian said, “What should we do if Boyle is unable to guess the passcode and that delays the wedding ceremony? We all have to take a flight from North City to Capital City University to attend the wedding on time.”
Heaton snickered. “He shouldn’t even dream of marrying Jelly Bean if he doesn’t even have the capacity to guess the passcode.”
Unexpectedly, Cherie was calm and comforted Verian. “Monty, don’t worry. It’s a nine-digit passcode. He just has to figure out the probability of each nine-digit combination. He’ll definitely solve it in no time.”
Boyle might not be good at lame and childish brain teasers, but Cherie was certain that he was smart at solving probability questions.
Whitney gave a thumbs up and could not help but admire Boyle’s intelligence. “Legendary Boyle is brilliant. He indeed belongs to the top student category.”
Cherie was bored with waiting for Boyle’s arrival. She rested her legs on the bed and played with the leg shackle on her legs. She randomly inserted some nine-figure passcode and after a few attempts, the leg shackles were opened.
Click.
Cherie and Harrison were both utterly speechless.
Heaton smacked Harrison’s shoulder. “What kind of passcode did you set?”
The atmosphere was a little awkward.
Harrison broke out into cold sweat.
Cherie had merely inserted her birthdate and had not expected it would be the passcode to unlock the leg shackles.
“Harrison Fudd, is your surname Fudd or Lawson?” Heaton raised his voice.
Harrison quickly surrendered. “Oops, sorry. It’s all because of my cognitive inertia. People usually won’t set their birthdays as passcodes. I didn’t deliberate much about it and set my sister’s birthday as the passcode. I’ll change it now.”
Harrison took the leg shackles and started changing the passcode.
However, he changed the passcode to Boyle’s birthday. He secretly contacted his sister-in-law last night and told her about the passcode.
Fortunately, Heaton had no idea what Boyle's birthday was.
After setting a new passcode, Harrison glanced at Heaton and asked, “It’s made up of random digits. That’ll do right, dad?”
Heaton coldly nodded his head and warned Harrison. “If I catch you siding with Boyle, you’re dead.”
Harrison rubbed his nose in guilt.
Soon, Boyle arrived together with his groomsmen.
Whitney and Sherry blocked the entrance while Harrison hyped up the atmosphere with some brain teasers.
Harrison threw a question at Boyle. “How do you style a rabbit’s fur?”
With a fresh bouquet in hand, Boyle smiled. “Hare spray.”
Whitney did not get the answer. “Why hair spray?”
Harrison answered, “It’s hare spray. H-A-R-E. Are you dumb?”
Whitney felt as if her intelligence had been humiliated.
Sherry asked Boyle another question. “What is the best food to eat when you’re scared?”
Boyle answered through the door. “Ice-cream (I scream), my wife’s favorite dessert.”
Whitney stared at Cherie with her eyes wide. “Damn it, how did he know all the answers? Cher, did you give him some training beforehand?”
Verian was curious too. She recalled the time when she was worried about Heaton being unable to answer the tricky questions on their wedding day and hence, she gave him a heads-up the night before.
