After Cherie was done exploring New York City and experiencing the city in Boyle's shoes, Boyle secretly booked two flight tickets to Philadelphia.
On a random morning, after desperately trying to drag a certain someone out of bed, the duo took a flight to Philadelphia.
Cherie had basically spent the last seven years alone in Philadelphia.
Boyle brought Cherie to her home in Philadelphia first.
It seemed Boyle had no trouble finding his way around the city and it seemed as if he was more familiar to the city than she was.
This made Cherie curious as she asked, "Why do you seem so familiar with my house in Philadelphia?"
Boyle chuckled and did not hide anything from her as he said, "Before we reconciled, I wanted to know more about you back then, so I frequently flew over to Philadelphia in the past just to visit your neighbors. Hence, I'm pretty familiar with the surroundings."
Cherie sighed and said, "But I'm not even that close to my neighbors anyway."
Boyle patted her little head as he said, "I don't like to socialize either but I'm truly thankful to the neighbor that had saved your life. If it wasn't for her calling the ambulance and getting you to the hospital in time… I can't imagine what'll happen now."
The instant Cherie raised her head to look at him, Boyle's kiss landed on her eye.
It was warm and very gentle.
Boyle said, "I actually sent your neighbor an invite to our wedding back then but even though she was absent, I still sent her our wedding condiments and gifts."
Cherie said while staring at her Philadelphia home, "Say Boyle, if I actually perished in the bathtub back then, what do you think you'll do now? Will you have received my videos?"
Boyle took a deep breath and it seemed that the sheer mention of that question still triggered him. He was still afraid to think about it.
Thus, he reached out and embraced her before saying, "I will no doubt receive those videos."
Cherie turned around and looked at him before curiously asking, "Then what would you do after that?"
He stared intensely at her glimmering eyes before exclaiming in a clear tone, "I will take my time and watch every single video. I will watch them more than once before going to your funeral. After that, I will walk your path in Philadelphia. I will walk through every corner that you have walked."
"What happens after that?"
"After that, I'll join you."
Cherie turned around and hugged his neck before saying, "But some people say that you'll feel nothing upon death and you'll no longer feel lonely anymore. Only your memories and physical body would be left behind in this world."
Boyle hugged her tightly as he closed his eyes and said, "No matter what form you'd be in, I still can't bear to leave you behind all on your own. Even if you transformed into a gust of wind or a cloud or even if you no longer have any form of consciousness and you're not lonely anymore, I still want to stay by your side."
"Boyle, you said plenty of romantic things today."
Boyle lowered his eyes and stared at her with a gentle gaze as he said, "Do you like it?"
"I do."
Cherie raised her little face closer to him and seemed to want a kiss.
Boyle carried her and pinned her against the cabinet in the kitchen as the duo spent a long time kissing.
Both Boyle and Cherie went to visit Curtis Music Academy after that.
It seemed Cherie had completed her tertiary education in Philadelphia at this music academy.
Cherie said, "I tend to miss you the most whenever it rains. That is because other people would have their boyfriends deliver umbrellas to them and all I ever got were umbrellas given to me by people who are obviously trying to flirt or hook up with me."
Boyle's heart wrenched even though he found the situation funny as he said, "So did you accept their umbrellas?"
Cherie glared at him as she said, "I'm not an idiot you know. I'd be soaked in the rain if I didn't."
Boyle patted her little head as he said, "You did well. You can ignore them but you absolutely have to take their umbrellas."
Cherie reached out and pinched his arm in a fit of rage as she said, "It's all thanks to you for breaking up with me and you not being there to pick me up."
"Yeah, I'm truly sorry."
"Well, since you're so sincere in your apology, I'll generously forgive you then."
Boyle raised her little hand, lowered her head and kissed the diamond ring around her finger before cracking a calm smile as he said, "Thank you, Madam Lawson for understanding."
