After seeing the look of horror on Nadine's face, Brad couldn't help but grin. He had to admit that when it came to dealing with women, Alex definitely knew what he was talking about.

After ranting and throwing every insult she could think of at Brad, Nadine waited for him to get fed up and storm off. However, not only did he not leave—he even asked her if she was tired and if she wanted something to drink.

What was wrong with this guy? Was he simply not in his right mind? She stared at him in pure horror, as if she had seen a ghost. "Are you feeling alright, Brad?"

What was meant as an insult was music to Brad's ears. After laughing heartily, he beamed at her. "I knew you still loved and cared about me. See? You even asked if I was sick! Stop being stubborn, Nadine. You clearly still have feelings for me, so let's just forget about the divorce and go home together."

He then reached for her hand, startling her so much that she jumped and took off running. Holy crap! That was it—Brad had officially lost it. He had to have seriously lost his damn mind.

Standing at the entrance, Brad watched her slim figure disappear into the building, a smile tugging at the corners of his lips. He didn't stay for long. Once she was inside, he turned and left.

After sliding into the backseat of his car, the smile on his face widened as he picked up his phone to call Alex. While instructing the driver to start driving, he asked his friend, "I did well today, didn't I?"

Alex, currently enjoying the company of two young, gorgeous women—one under each arm—was munching on cherries when he answered, "You did great, man. Keep it up for a little longer, and I'll teach you the next steps. I'm a bit busy right now, so I'll catch you later."
