Brad was known for being decisive and never one to bend to threats. Looking at Tyler's smug expression, he couldn't hide the disdain in his gaze.
"Let's set aside the fact that this happened before Nadine and I got married. That disgusting mug of yours would only make Nad hate you. Let me give you a piece of advice. Nad hates people who talk behind others' backs."
Brad wasn't the least bit bothered by his words. He remained calm and traded blows with him. Tyler hadn't expected him to be so unconcerned, and his eyes were filled with disbelief.
"I know you're just pretending to be calm, Brad. I'm sure that deep down, you're worried Nad would leave you! It's impossible not to worry about something like this!"
That night six years ago, he had watched as Jean walked into the hotel, and not long after her arrival, Brad followed suit. The only reason two adults in love would show up at a hotel together was obvious. Even a fool could tell what was going on.
There was no doubt that Brad and Jean were there to satisfy their physical urges. There was no other explanation! Poor Nadine had no idea about what Brad had done and was still kept in the dark.
He was certain that Brad was afraid and planned to use this leverage to threaten him, hoping it would keep him away from Nadine. But Brad's reaction was not what he had expected.
Brad, who could remain stone-faced in the face of a storm, listened to the threats without so much as a flicker of anger. He even laughed, as if he had just heard a joke.
