The exhibition hall at the University of Janctera Medical School had always been closed to the public. Even its students couldn't access it without a referral letter or a ticket from their professors.
Those granted access were far from ordinary. Wealth and influence were merely prerequisites, as significant contributions to the field were also required.
As soon as Sebastian arrived in Janctera City, the dean of the university reached out to him. Caldwell Group had a research project in Chillnada that piqued the dean's interest. The moment he heard that Sebastian was in town, he rushed to find him and handed him an invitation letter.
Without hesitation, Sebastian asked for two ticketsāone for himself and the other for Nadine. After all, how else would he get the chance to spend some quality time alone with her?
Nadine had long been dying to visit the exhibition hall of the University of Janctera Medical School. Hence, when she heard that Sebastian had tickets, she agreed without a second thought.
"Thank you, Mr. Caldwell, for being so generous! I'll gladly take you up on that offer! When is the ticket for? I'll arrange my schedule accordingly."
It felt like a miracle to get her hands on the tickets for the exhibition hall, so there was no way she would let anything else get in the way. So, she made sure to clarify the timing first, placing everything else on the back burner.
Sebastian told her that the visiting time on the ticket was set for that afternoon. Nadine checked her shift schedule and reached out to Alice, a colleague she got along well with, to ask if they could exchange shifts.
Having confirmed the time and location, Nadine changed out of her scrubs and walked out the doors of Harborview Hospital. Before she could hail a cab, Sebastian's car pulled up beside her. "Hop in, Nadine!"
