Travis instantly caught on. Brad clearly had some personal issues to discuss with Adam, and it wasn't the sort of conversation they could have with others around.

He accepted the cash from Brad and told Adam respectfully, "I'm going to step out for a bit, Mr. Hamilton Senior. Please call me if you need anything." Adam nodded at him in response.

After Travis left the room, Brad walked up to Adam and stopped beside him, staring directly at him. "Why did you bring Sebastian to Janctera City? Grandpa, we need to get one thing straight—Nadine and I are still married. She's my wife!"

Even though Adam didn't say it outright, Brad could already sense what he was up to. He had to admit that Adam genuinely cared for Nadine—more than he cared for his own grandson. But that didn't mean it was alright for him to set her up with Sebastian.

Feeling a bit fatigued, Adam set the handgrip down and took a few deep breaths before finally turning to Brad.

"I want Nadine and Sebastian to be together. Sebastian's more responsible and reliable than you. Plus, he actually likes Nad. I want them to end up together. You've said it yourself—you don't love her and think she's the most annoying person on Earth. So, why can't you just let go?"

Adam was aware that he didn't have much time left and that he shouldn't beat around the bush with Brad, so he chose to reason with him by laying out the facts. Brad was arrogant and cold-hearted at his core, certainly not the right match for Nadine.

Sebastian, on the other hand, was around Brad's age, yet he was responsible and reliable. He kept to himself, wasn't involved with other women, and aside from being a workaholic, had no other real shortcomings. He was perfect for Nadine.

Nadine was the kind of woman who would bottle up her emotions, no matter how much she was hurting. Evelyn and Gigi had bullied her countless times over the years at Hamilton Estate, yet she never once breathed a word of it to Brad.
