Brad could only imagine just how disappointed Nadine was in him and their marriage, driving her to exhaust all her options and leave herself with no way out.
He deserved it. The sharp, twisting pain in his chest surged again, causing his face to turn ghostly white. Brad could no longer stand on his own two feet. Clutching his chest, he hastily found a chair and sank on it. Leaning back against the seat, he took deep breaths while soothing the area over his heart with his hand.
Noticing him in such a condition, Adam hurriedly pressed the bell to summon a nurse for help. The nurse arrived promptly, examined Brad, and handed him two white pills. After watching him take them, she left the room.
The pain in Brad's chest gradually subsided. Leaning against the back of the chair, he wearily looked at Adam, who was still watching him. "Grandpa, are you happy now? My heart is failing because I can't seem to reach Nadine. I'm so worried I've made myself sick. Can't you just help me out a little?"
In Janctera City, Sebastian was only close to Nadine and Adam. So, if Brad wanted to find out where Sebastian and Nadine were, the simplest and fastest route was through Adam.
Earlier, while he was still in the car, he'd asked Cameron to track Nadine's phone, but they soon realized it was completely untraceable. Left with no other options, he'd come to seek Adam's help. At this point, his grandfather was his only hope.
Noticing that Brad was genuinely distressed over Nadine, Adam's expression softened slightly. He cleared his throat and shot Brad a haughty look before pulling out his phone and calling Sebastian.
The call connected, but the person on the other end wasn't Sebastianāit was his assistant.
