When Daniel heard about Sophie's passing, he attended her funeral and sent a wreath in her memory.

Since he wasn't a relative, he couldn't accompany Nadine throughout. After paying his respects, he returned to the company to work.

Although the Hamiltons lived a glamorous and luxurious life now, only Daniel knew the weight of the burden on his shoulders.

Adam wasn't in good health, so he couldn't help in managing the company. Now that Brad was sick too, Daniel had to bear all responsibility in managing the company.

He could handle it for the time being. However, if this were to continue, he was afraid that he wouldn't be able to hold on much longer. Thus, when he heard that Brad was out of the ICU, he immediately came to visit him.

Brad had been spoiled since he was a child, and Daniel was quite worried about him. But when he arrived at the ward and noticed Nadine wasn't there, he became suspicious.

He thought Nadine was a good person; she had promised to take care of Brad and wouldn't go back on her words unless Brad had upset her.

However, after listening to Brad for a while, Daniel realized he had misunderstood.

The reason Nadine wasn't here to take care of Brad wasn't because of him. If it was Brad's fault, he wouldn't have looked so calm when he asked about Nadine.

When Brad woke up and didn't see Nadine, his handsome face darkened. "Is she busy? What could she be busy with? Didn't you take Sean with you?"

Apart from work, Brad deduced that the only thing that could keep Nadine occupied was Sean.

Indeed, Daniel had sent Sean to Clover Villa. With maids and bodyguards to take care of him, Nadine didn't need to worry. Brad wondered what other things Nadine had to take care of.

"Is it because of work? That job of hers requires her to take care of people all day. It doesn't matter if she's gone for a day or two."

There were a few times when he looked for Nadine and caught patients purposely giving her a hard time. But instead of getting upset, she greeted them with a smile.
