Please Give Me Another Chance, Mrs. Hamilton novel Chapter 711

There wasn't much information about Jack in the folder—only three pages. Most of it consisted of pictures of him and Nadine. The two of them were full of life and energy.

Their clothes were nothing special, but their smiles were bright—the kind that could light up a room. It was the kind of love where just being together felt enough.

Then, there was himself and Nadine. Even after being married for six years, they did not have a single photo together. Brad recalled the day his father suggested they take wedding photos. Nadine had been so considerate, claiming it wasn't necessary and that she didn't want to.

But was she truly being considerate, or was it simply because she didn't care? If it had been Jack standing beside her in those photos, would she still have been so "thoughtful" and said "no"?

Brad was staring at the photos, feeling frustrated, when Cameron called to tell him that Nadine had been taken to the police station. Gripping his phone tightly with his uninjured hand, his knuckles turned white.

He was upset with Nadine for saying she loved him with words that held no weight. Hence, when he heard that she had been taken to the police station, he didn't want to get involved.

Besides being harsh with him, what else could this cold-hearted woman do? Others had no trouble sending her to the police station, but she didn't even think to call him for help. Instead, she remained remarkably calm. It was evident that he held no place in her heart.

This realization drove Brad mad. Initially, he was about to rush to the station to bail her out. But then he thought of Nadine's cold indifference toward him, and his anger flared, almost consuming him. Why should he go to her rescue? All she ever did was upset him and make him angry.
