Cameron hastily skimmed through the news, silently clutching his phone in his palm—yet secretly pleased. Brad was as stubborn as a mule. He still refused to admit that he cared about Nadine.
That said, he wasn't about to take the fall, nor did he plan to walk into a trap. Cameron turned to Brad and said, "Mr. Hamilton, these are just minor issues. As long as you don't dwell on them, you'll be fine.
"Just because the internet wants you and Mrs. Hamilton to get back together doesn't mean it can happen. It all comes down to what you both want. You can only reconcile if both of you still have feelings for each other.
"If there's nothing left, how could you possibly get back together? The man needs to genuinely repent and make an effort to win the woman back for their love to blossom."
He focused intently on Brad's face as he said that, hoping to glean something from his expression. He was well aware of his boss' personality. He often acted aloof and icy, but deep down, he yearned for love.
If someone told him they loved him, he would accept it. However, he wouldn't be able to bring himself to trust those words. He often tested those who claimed to love him, and the moment he sensed even a hint of indifference from them, he'd assume they didn't genuinely love him.
Over time, he stopped believing in love altogether and channeled all his energy into making money. Otherwise, how could the company have reached its current heights?
Cameron had expected Brad to kick him out after his little speech. Yet, the outcome was different from what he had expected.
Brad sat in his executive chair, casually flipping through the day's financial news, his expression as cold and distant as usual. His well-tailored white shirt accentuated his well-built physique, radiating an air of superiority.
