Diana’s heart skipped a beat, her eyes darting nervously. She instinctively glanced at Peggy, but since Peggy had only just returned, she realized Sophia. might be bluffing.

Diana declared firmly, “I never touched your computer.” Her red–rimmed eyes made her look even more upset, like a regular student standing up to privileged kids.

Seeing this, Vivienne seized the moment to stir things up. She said, “Sophia, if you’ve got proof, show it. You can’t just accuse Diana of messing with your computer without proof!”

“Shut up.” Maelis glared at her furiously. “Vivienne, have you forgotten about making up those rumors? You haven’t even apologized yet, and now you’re just asking for trouble.”

Dorian stayed quiet, just watching Sophia. He trusted her completely. Sophia knew Diana was trying to make things worse because she thought there was no proof, and Sophia didn’t mind.

Sophia shot Diana a wicked grin. “Since you want to cause a scene, I guess I’ll have to go along. I’m just too kind.” With that, she pulled out her phone and tapped the screen a few times.

The phone screen instantly showed footage of Diana sneaking to open Sophia’s computer, looking around like a thief. The moment she turned it on, whatever she saw scared her–she let out a loud scream and toppled her chair over.

“What the hell is this?” Diana exclaimed, then quickly shut the laptop in panic.

The footage on the phone was very clear–proof that Diana wasn’t being framed. Maelis puffed out her cheeksin anger and snapped, “See? Who’s framing her now, huh?”

The students stayed quiet. They had thought Sophia, the privileged girl, had bullied a normal student–which made them feel a bit guilty.

Diana’s face went pale as she stared at Sophia in disbelief. “You actually put a camera on your computer?”

Sophia lifted her chin, looking down at her with disdain. “It’s my laptop–I can do whatever I want with it. You touched it without asking, and you keep denying it. So, Diana, was I wrong to accuse you?”

Diana couldn’t hold back her tears and started crying in front of everyone. “I was just curious, that’s all! I didn’t do anything else,” she sobbed defensively. “And your computer isn’t even broken.”

Vivienne scoffed, “She just touched your laptop, that’s all. It’s not made of eggshells–a little tap won’t break it.”

Vivienne added, “Come on, we’re all living together for the next four years. Nothing was even damaged–Sophia, don’t be so unreasonable just because you’re right.”
