"Thank you, thank you, you're always so flattering," Sophie said, looking up at Colby. "So, what do you think I should do?"
"They failed to take you out this time, but they'll likely try to get closer to you to make another attempt on your life."
"I was thinking the same thing," Sophie replied. "They're going around in circles, all for that Burke International stock transfer agreement. But when it ended up in Elodie's hands, she seemed unfazed. Clearly, they just don't want the shares to end up with me."
"It seems we've been too conspicuous; some people can't stand to see us succeed."
"Then I'll just have to pay the Spellman family a visit and see who's pulling their strings, wanting me dead."
"Good luck with everything."
"Thank you."
Sophie left the Minton estate and immediately noticed a car parked at the entrance.
The driver approached her, saying, "Ms. Sophie, this car has been prepared for you by our boss, to take you to the Spellman family."
Sophie glanced at the car ready for her and the rows of black-suited bodyguards standing by.
"How long have you been waiting here?" she asked.
"Not long, just an hour."
"An hour?" She raised an eyebrow. "And you say that so casually?"
"The boss instructed us to wait here early, not knowing when Ms. Sophie would wake up. Please, get in the car," the driver said, stepping aside to make way for her.
After Sophie got in, she saw through the rearview mirror that the well-trained bodyguards were piling into vans.

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
