Right Person, Wrong Time novel Chapter 695

Chapter 695

Alvin remained silent. He only came here this time because of Sasha, and Adam didn't tell Colton about her identity, so his mission was considered completed.

Looking at Alvin's silent appearance, Adam knew he had nothing to say. Waving his hand, he uttered, "Go back and watch over her. Don't let her cause trouble again. She can only inflict injury on herself once to gain his sympathy. She won't be able to win his heart in the long run."

When Alvin was told to go down, he lowered his head and replied seriously, "I got it." With that, he left.

Colton sat in the car but didn't leave. He leaned back in his seat and watched a tall man come out of the door after a while. It was the same man who interrupted him and Adam. If he came out so soon, he probably intended to get in the conversation between him and Adam. Colton smirked, There's got to be something this person doesn't want Adam to disclose. This person is most likely Undercity's other leader.

He had heard from Julian that Adam had abruptly stepped down a year before, and a new leader who acted vigorously and resolutely had appeared out of nowhere. However, that person kept their identity hidden well, so no one knew who it was. Julian only heard that they came from a local gang. Someone who broke out of a place like that was definitely not an easy opponent.

After watching Alvin leave, Colton pondered for a moment before driving away. Instead of going home, he went to the hospital. Since Sasha got hurt because of him, he could not have the callousness to completely ignore her. Then, he bought some food from the store downstairs before going to her ward.

In the quiet ward, Sasha had already woken up, but her face was still ashen. She tapped away quickly on her phone like she was chatting with someone.

Hearing the sound of the door opening, she tilted her head sideways. Noticing it was Colton at the door, she placed her phone down and smiled bleakly. "You're here, Colton."

"Yeah." He slowly made his way to her bed, where he set the food on the headboard.

Smelling the food, she was a little shocked. The smile on her face widened as she questioned in a trembling voice, "Are these vanilla cupcakes?"

"Yeah," he replied curtly as he took out a vanilla cupcake from the bag. "I remember you liked these."

All of a sudden, Sasha felt her nose becoming sour. Then, she reached out to hold the cupcake, but perhaps she raised her arm too high and felt her wound tear. Tears quickly pooled and gushed out of her eyes. Due to the pain, she loosened her grip, causing the cupcake to fall to the bed.

Colton picked up the vanilla cupcake, peeled off the paper cup for her, and brought it to her mouth. She opened her mouth and slowly took a small bite. The sweetness of the cupcake was accompanied by a soft texture. Simultaneously, the vanilla scent quickly filled her mouth after she took a bite.

It had been a while since Sasha had consumed something so sweet. She recalled a specific person telling her that sweetness would cause one to feel unnecessary happiness, which was a pointless emotion. It turned out to be true. Sasha felt like she was on cloud nine at the moment…

Standing at the head of the bed, he slowly fed her until she finished the whole cupcake. After she was done eating, a smile appeared on her face, and she started wiping away the tears on her face.

"It feels like yesterday that the two of us were still in school, and I went to class with you—"

Even as he listened to her words, he maintained a neutral expression and simply stated, "The past is in the past. You should rest well and call the doctor in case of an emergency."

Sasha could not help but feel disappointed upon seeing Colton's refusal to discuss the past. Lowering her head, she stared at the white sheets.
