William was confused as to what Colton was trying to say.
His gaze became firm. When he looked up at Colton, his eyes became cloudy and he insisted, "President Gardner, you must have seen it wrong. In the footage, the driver is surely Madeline. I was drunk at that time, so I couldn't drive."
Seeing that William would not admit to it, Colton squinted his sharp eyes while sizing William up.
"When my grandmother was killed, you were indeed the one in the driver's seat," Colton said firmly without any hesitation.
William was frightened into a cold sweat by Colton's words and he looked at Colton with uncertainty. Seeing Colton's serious face, he felt guilty.
However, William would never throw his towel until the very last moment, so he didn't admit to it. Instead, he responded, "President Gardner, something must be wrong. Please bring that footage over and I'll see for myself."
A slight smile appeared on Colton's face, and the smile started to become more profound.
"Fine. I gave you a chance, but you did not appreciate it. I will send the footage to the police, and you can save your explanation for them."
At that point, Queenie was utterly nervous. She had been by Colton's side for years and knew his nature. He looks confident, which means that he has a clue.
She knew the truth, so under Colton's affirmation, she panicked suddenly and was afraid Bryan leaked something to let Colton know the truth.
Before William could lose it, Queenie hurriedly took a step forward before she reached out and tugged at Colton. She then said quickly and aggrievedly, "Colton, there must be a misunderstanding. My father is not such a person."
Although Colton had put most of his attention on William, he still saw Queenie's panic.
It looks like she knows something.
So, Colton lifted his icy gaze and looked at Queenie. In a low and hoarse voice, he questioned, "Why? Do I need to say anything more about the facts even if I have conclusive evidence?"
"That's not it. Colton, we can't judge anyone based on photos alone. T-The photo might be photoshopped!"
Queenie spoke in a panic and said something she shouldn't.
Colton's gaze darkened even further. The Gardner Family never spread out the news about the photo. One could count the amount of people that know about this with their fingers. However, Queenie blurted it out. It seems that she has something to do with it.
However, Colton didn't expose Queenie. Instead, he went along with her words.
"The photo was sent over first, and the Gardner Family then got Nick, the internationally renowned hacker, to investigate what happened back then. Eventually, he hacked into a computer and found the full footage with the photo."
After hearing Colton's words, Queenie was utterly despaired. She thought that what she did was covert and would not be discovered.
If William is identified as Old Mrs. Gardner's murderer, my relationship with Colton will be doomed. Moreover, Nicole had stayed with her mother since she was a child and had severed her relationship with William, so she can get away from the blame. However, I am different.
When Queenie was about to expose herself, Lydia hurriedly stepped forward to pull her back and reprimanded her in a low voice, "That's enough, Queenie. President Gardner is talking to your father, so don't you interrupt them!"
Queenie was pale and her mind was blank. She felt her body shaking. Luckily, Lydia supported her from behind so she didn't fall to the ground.
Lydia held Queenie tightly and pulled her back, as the older woman was afraid that Queenie would say something wrong in haste.

What a waste of reading! This could have been an excellent novel if it hadn't skipped chapters after 531 and then everything is garbled. Get your act together if you still want a reading audience!!!...
