The Divorced Heiress Revenge (Bella Thompson) novel Chapter 2363

After finishing his words, Grant walked away without looking back

Lucas’ expression darkened, and a shadow loomed over his brows as he pressed the bell on the desk.

Moments later, the secretary entered respectfully. “Mr. Fowler.”

“My dear nephew has been acting less than obedient lately,” Lucas said, his tone calm but laced with menace. “It seems he needs a little wake-up call.”

Lowering his gaze, Lucas reached for his cigar.

The secretary, sharp and compliant, stepped forward and extended his palm.

Without a flicker of hesitation, Lucas extinguished the cigar in the man’s hand. The secretary did not even flinch.

“Once you’ve wrapped up your current tasks, take a trip to Savrow and meet with someone on my behalf.”

On the way to the airport after leaving the King’s Club, Grant remained quiet, making the car eerily silent, which made Clarice’s heart pound with unease.

Normally, Grant always carried a faint smile on his lips.

When he was not smiling, it meant trouble.

“You must be curious,” Grant suddenly spoke. His half-lidded eyes revealed a glimmer of cold calculation. His pale lips parted slowly. “You’re curious why Lucas is no longer in prison and is instead swaggering around Sentania. And if he’s here, then who’s the one serving his sentence in Savrow’s prison?”

Clarice broke out in a cold sweat but hurriedly replied in a hushed voice. “Even if I’m curious, I wouldn’t dare ask unless you wish to tell me...”

“I arranged for a scapegoat to take his place. That’s how Lucas enjoys his freedom today.”

Grant’s smile was enigmatic, his tone teasing. “I’m telling you this because there’s something you need to do next.”
