Chapter 10
Erie was scared stiff
How did Gideon do it? How disklar take down over a dozen men in the blink of an eye?
While Erie stood there in a daze, Gideon slapped him so hard that he flew backward and lost a few teeth in the process. Both sides of his face were now swollen.
“You didn’t learn your lesson back at the Snow residence, h? The nerve of you to try and come after me. Do you think I’m a good–tempered man?” Gideon questioned, his expression frosty.
Clenching; his jaw, Erle roared, “Just you wall, Gideon! I’ll cripple you today if it’s the last thing I do!”
As soon as he finished speaking, he attempted to run off.
Amused, Gideon picked Eric up like a little rat and threw him against the floor. Instantly, his nose broke, making him howl in agony.
Just then, there was a commotion in the hallway, and a group of men in black appeared. Gunnar Scarrow, the burly man in the lead, had a menacing scowl on his scarred face.
“I received a report from our customers that someone’s causing a scene here. Who is it? Who has the gall to cause Trouble here on Mr. Sullivan’s territory? Do you have a death wish?” Gunnar hollered.
Looking as though he’d found a savior, Eric shouted, “Help, Mr. Scarrow!”
Gunnar took a closer look and recognized Eric, who was a well–known scion and a VIP member of Twilight Bar.
“Oh! What happened to you, Mr. Gross? How did you end up like this?” Gummar asked as he quickly came over to help Eric to his feet.
Eric wagged his finger at Gideon and snarled viciously, “Held it to me! Mr. Scarrow, do me a favor and break all four of his limbs! If anything happens, I’ll handle it.”
Gunnar glanced at Gideon, but he didn’t immediately jump into action. Instead, he asked, “Who are you, punk? How dare you beat up Mr. Gross? You sure are audacious.”
“You don’t need to be wary,” Eric shouted. “He’s Gideon Snow, and the Snows are goners. There’s nothing to be scared of. Beat him up!”
“The Snows, you say? I see,” Gunnar said with a chuckle. He didn’t need to care about a former elite family who’d fallen from grace! How could he pass up such a wonderful opportunity to prove himself?
“Men, didn’t you hear what Mr. Gross said? Break his limbs right this instant.”
“You got it!”
Several men in black lunged at Gideon, whose expression nained cold as he sent them sprawling with a few slaps. Then, he turned to Gummar,
“Is this how you act as the guy in charge of maintaining order here at Twilight Bar? You only care about the person’s status without any regard for reason?”
“What did you say?” Gunnar snarled, his expression dark.
Eric was sneering inwardly. Gideon was digging a hole for himself by challenging Gunnar, who was known for being merciless,
Gideon was a goner for sure!

“Are all of Leo’s men like you? I guess I have to teach him a lesson when I see him. It hasn’t stuck with him yet,” Gideon remarked with a scoff.
However, his words plunged the room into silence.
Leo? Who was he talking about? Could it be Leopold?
Everyone was stupefied at the fact that Gideon just addressed Leopold as Leo in such a flippant manner! It was sheer disrespect!
“You’re asking for it, punk!”
Fuming, Gunnar grabbed a machete and marched toward Gideon.
“Not only did you question me, but you even had the nerve to disrespect Mr. Sullivan! What an arrogant bastard
you are.
“I won’t just stop at breaking your limbs today. I’m going to slice off your tongue, break off your nose, and gouge out your eyes! Only then will you learn the consequences of disrespecting Mr. Sullivan!”
“That’s funny. I wonder if Leo will laugh or cry if he finds out about your bragging.” Gideon said in amusement.
Gunnar raised the machete to chop off one of Gideon’s arms, and Gideon’s eyes were also flashing with hostility, but right at that moment, a shrill voice rang out, “Hold it right there!”
Gunnar paused, the machete hanging less than two feet away from Gideon, who also hid the murderous intent in his eyes.
Anna Sullivan, a young woman in a crisp outfit, deftly approached, her expression solemn. She was tall, slender, and had short brown hair.
“Ms. Sullivan!” Gunnar greeted. “What are you doing here?”
“What’s going on?” Anna questioned directly.
Gunnar replied, “This punk here attacked Mr. Gross and insulted Mr. Sullivan! I was just about to teach him at lesson.”
“Are you sure that’s what happened?”
“I’m positive.”
Snorting, Gideon piped up, “You sure know how to lie through your teeth! Eric’s the one who brought a bunch of people over to cripple me, but I defeated them all. Isn’t that just an act of self–defense?
“And w
Iyet, you claim I’m the one who’s causing trouble and want to cut off my limbs, too. If this is how Twilight Bar is run, I won’t be coming back here ever again.”
Anna was stunned. She slapped Gunnar in the face and reprimanded him, “My dad put you in charge of keeping an eye on things here, but is this how you do it?”
The slap left Gunnar feeling rather dazed.
“My dad has repeatedly instructed you not to side with people just because of their status. He told you to deal with the conflict at the bar in a fair and just manner! Are you ignoring his instructions?”
“Ms. Sullivan, 1-”
“That’s enough!” Anna cut him off and pulled out a blade. Since you don’t bother listening to what he said, I guess you don’t need your ears anymore!”

“Get lost!” Anna stueried
No one would believe such a story, but Leopold had come from Oris Vale himself. A krew be weltm lied to her.
However, Anna stopped him from leaving Biting her lip, she said hesitantly, “Sir, we you willing to be my mentor? I want to be as powerful as you are.”
