The Heart Left Behind (Cole and Yvonne) novel Chapter 120

I tried to be more tactful when phrasing my words. "Although you have work experience, you're a newcomer here. According to our rules, no matter who you are and no matter how high your achievements were before this, you'll have to start from the bottom in this company."

I printed the work procedure and the company's basic information before handing the documents to her. "Get yourself familiar with the work procedure. I'll find a chance to promote you later on."

Even if we were not connected, with her capabilities, she wouldn't need to stay at the bottom for too long.

"I understand."

Lorraine accepted it easier than I thought. She quickly got to work.

"I'll head to work."

"Go, then."

I watched her leave. Thinking about those few troublesome employees in the design department, my head started to hurt.

I wondered if she could deal with them.

At the design department, the team leader, Hannah Yale, was leading a meeting. "Listen up, our new colleague has deep connections with Mr. Joplin. You all need to be careful."

She was in that position due to connections, yet she had the audacity to bad-mouth others.

Some of the employees in the design department liked her while others were just terrified of her power, so they mumbled their agreements half-heartedly.

"Alright, I'm just giving you all a kind reminder in case you offend her. Get back to work."

Lorraine entered the office just in time to see the employees getting back to their desks. She stood by the door and scanned around.

I had already introduced her just now, but out of politeness, she introduced herself once more, "Hello, everyone. I'm Lorraine Sommerton. I—"

"That's enough. No one needs to know what your name is or your job position," Hannah interrupted her impatiently. She pointed at the corner, "You're new here, so you'll be Sophie's assistant."
