Yvonne had crossed the line, and I wouldn't allow anyone to make a move on Jonas.

"Who I'm with has nothing to do with you, does it? Or are you still hung up on me?"

Her words drew audible gasps from the crowd.

"Haven't you seen enough? Would you prefer to come to my side for a closer look?" I turned to snap at the onlookers.

Did they think I was blind to not have seen them secretly recording?

I scanned their faces one by one. "Delete those videos yourself, or shall I throw your phones away? Your choice." I could afford the compensation anyway.

Seeing them scramble to delete the recordings, I raised my hand and signaled for Murphy to check their phones.

Yvonne's expression grew darker, and she couldn't resist complaining, "You didn't protect me like this when people were spreading rumors about me."

"So, you're blaming me for that?" I asked. I couldn't understand her sudden change in demeanor.

"Are you here to get jealous? Does Jared know about this?" Apart from that, I couldn't think of another reason for her to bring this up.

Her face fell further. After taking a deep breath, she looked up and said, "When you gave me Xavier's custody back then, you demanded that I couldn't marry Jared. I'm making the same demand now."

"And what gives you the right to make such a demand?" I questioned with a sarcastic laugh.

Watching her expression darken, I didn't hesitate to twist the knife. "Do you think I forbade you from marrying someone else because I still had feelings for you? You think it was because I couldn't let go?"

Her eyes lit up briefly, and it seemed obvious that that was what she thought.
