"Who did you think it was?" Chad asked.

Chad looked at the weakened Sam lying on the bed, wishing he would just drop dead right there. If Sam were really just an adopted son, Chad wouldn't have had such strong animosity toward him. But since Sam was actually Gerald's biological son, he felt a stuffiness in his chest.

"Alright, stop dilly-dallying. Your brother's wound isn't small. You should come over and help care for him too," Gerald said.

Gerald's affection for Sam exceeded Chad's expectations. He snorted coldly and remarked, "Do you really think of him as a patient? That small wound won't kill him."

"How can you say that? Your brother slit his wrist!"
