"She has crossed a line."
I only knew that Yvonne had been forcing Xavier to go on live streams. I never thought that she would do this.
Seeing me getting mad, Xavier immediately said, "Daddy, the live streams aren't tiring at all. I can even do more so that Mommy doesn't need to work so hard. That way, she and Jared can finally open their company."
Yvonne and Jared had a company?
I thought that she wanted to open up a company abroad? When did it become hers and Jared's?
I looked at how cautious Xavier looked and felt a little helpless.
"Xavier, go to bed. Let me handle the rest." Everything would be settled in court the next day. I coaxed Xavier and put him to bed. After some time, he finally fell asleep.
Lorraine came home at that moment.
"Did you see the news?" Lorraine looked a little grim as she quickly walked over to me.
"I did." I did not care at all. Comments on the internet did not affect me one bit.
"Did you really see it?" Lorraine handed her phone to me. "Quentin Dawson is pressing charges."
He had sent a lawyer's letter, saying that I deliberately harmed him.
"When did he send it?"
"Just now."
Lorraine looked at me in confusion. "What was the news that you saw?"
"The video of me hitting him."
Quentin pressed charges before I could; he was trying to get a head start. I was sure that many would pity him and side with him.
"Good timing. I'm going to court tomorrow." I looked at Lorraine and continued, "Please call Murphy. Since Quentin is going to press charges, I'm going to play along."
