"Who do you mean by our enemies? Jared? Or Chad?"

"I suspect that they're working together."

"Where's the proof?"

Murphy lowered his head in silence.

"Next time, don't tell me if it's just speculation."

There were enough problems in the company. I didn't need any more speculations.

"I understand."

"But Jared is indeed a problem. I heard that he has gotten a sponsor to fund his own film?"

If he became a director, his network would only grow wider. It would be harder for me to deal with him then.

"I've already gotten someone to look into it."

I would never have anything to do with him if it were not for him and Yvonne being together.

"I really don't know what he's up to." But no matter what, it was definitely not for Yvonne. He was a greedy person. He was only helping Yvonne because he could get something out of it.

Was he eyeing Joplin Group? If that was the case, I shouldn't wait any longer. I had to attack first.

"Mom, since Dad gets angry so easily, he should just stay in the hospital longer to save him the trip of constantly going in and out. What do you say?"

"Cole, I know you're still angry at him, but he's your father."

"Mrs. Joplin, is Dad in that ward?" Chris' voice suddenly cut through.

I heard my mother reply stiffly, "You two are here."
