The Heart Left Behind (Cole and Yvonne) novel Chapter 277

Harrison pushed Jared's hand aside before extending the glass to Yvonne instead.

"Why don't you drink it instead?" he said.

Yvonne started to look at those around her, but Jared remained silent as he avoided her gaze.

Xavier tugged on Harrison's sleeve. "I'll drink it for Mommy."

Harrison's eyes fell on Xavier. "You want to drink on behalf of your mother? What a good boy."

Xavier gulped nervously. As he raised his hand to take the glass, Harrison pulled his hand back. "Children shouldn't be drinking alcohol."

Hearing that, Xavier picked up a bottle of beer from the table and drank it all in one go.

"I told you I'd help Mommy drink," he said.

After he finished the beer, his face started to flush red. He was starting to wobble as well.

Harrison looked at Xavier with satisfaction. "Not bad. You're even standing up for your mother."

He patted Xavier's head with an unsettlingly gentle expression. "I do have a movie that I'm thinking of reshooting."

Harrison looked at Yvonne and said warmly, "Would your schedule allow for it?"

Yvonne looked stunned. Jared had a dumbfounded look on his face as well.

Harrison was really interested in Xavier?

Jared looked at Harrison excitedly. "Of course, our schedule will allow for it. If it's for you, we'd adjust our schedule even if it was fully booked. You don't have to worry about that."

Xavier stood quietly by the side, but he seemed unsteady as his body started to sway.
