Xavier seemed to want to stay with me.
"Xavier, are you being a bad boy?" Yvonne asked.
Xavier lowered his head. "Daddy said he wants to open a company for me." He looked at Yvonne with an excited expression.
"You're saying he's starting an entertainment company just for you?" Yvonne said in disbelief. She didn't understand how someone as selfish as me could open a company for my son. Didn't I know that Xavier's acting contracts were all under her control? All the money Xavier earned went through her hands. Could I really accept that?
Yvonne packed up their things and urged Xavier to hurry. "Hurry up. We won't be able to leave if your daddy comes back."
Xavier still dawdled. Even if they were going to leave, he wanted to say goodbye before he did.
Yvonne had already instructed someone to complete the transfer paperwork. She frowned in frustration at how slow Xavier was.
She was just about to pack up Xavier's things for him when she heard footsteps at the door.
Lorraine and Cole were at the door, looking at Yvonne in surprise.
"What are you doing here?" I stepped inside with a serious expression.
Xavier's eyes reddened when he saw me. "Daddy, you're finally here."
Yvonne immediately turned to glare at him when she heard that. "Xavier, go pack up your things and wait for me outside."
I immediately grabbed Yvonne by the wrist to stop her from pulling Xavier away. "Don't you realize that he's not well? Why are you trying to take him away now?"
Yvonne was his mother. How could she ignore his condition?
