Hayden knew me well. He knew that I was kicked out by Grandma and I was not just going to call it quits just like that.
"What do you think I should do?" I looked at him seriously because I wanted to hear his suggestions.
"I heard that Lorraine is pregnant?"
I looked at him in surprise. "How did you know?" Other than those who were in the hospital that day, I was keeping a tight lid on the news. I didn't think that anyone would have spread the news.
"I heard from Lorraine's older brother."
"Her brother?"
Hayden looked at me with a pang of guilt in his eyes. "I feel sorry for you. When I introduced Lorraine to you, I didn't expect her family to be so full of drama."
Her brother was one of a kind. Hayden also just recently found out that Lorraine was not the Sommerton family's legitimate daughter. He was still hesitating whether he should let me know or not.
"What are you saying? Lorraine and I are quite happy together!" I was happy with Lorraine. It did not matter to me what her family situation was.
Hayden suddenly looked at me with a serious and complex gaze. I was not planning to ask him why he was looking at me that way. All I could think of was that Chad knew that she was pregnant.
"Did her brother say what he was planning to do?"
Those people were greedy with money. They might use the child to blackmail me. The issues that could be solved with money were no issues at all. I was just worried about Lorraine. I was worried that she would get an abortion because she did not want to cause me trouble.
"I'm not sure. He has never once told me any of his plans. He accidentally let it slip this time." Hayden sighed and continued, "Besides, I no longer plan to keep in touch with him."
That was true. Hayden was no longer planning to be in contact with the Sommerton family.
"Hayden, you really don't have to do it because of me…"
