Grandma suddenly said those words. I didn't know if she was mocking me or sincerely praising me. I didn't dare to make any guesses. I was afraid that anything I might say would piss her off. I was truly afraid that her condition would flare up here if she got mad.
"It's not as good as Joplin Group."
"How could you compare this to Joplin Group?"
In less than ten minutes, she finished touring the entire office. Although it was small, it was not lacking in anything.
There were a few non-famous celebrities present too. She guessed that they were newly signed onto the company. She didn't see Xavier around.
"I remembered that you opened this company for your son. Where is he?"
The smile plastered on my face turned awkward, and Grandma noticed. "What? Is he not coming?" She chuckled. "You've wasted a company."
I knew she was mocking me on purpose. I couldn't help but retort, "Grandma, although I opened this company for Xavier, he won't be the only artist."
Xavier did not sign with my company, but it was fine. I was going to get him sooner or later. As for Joplin Group… I didn't think that Grandma was here solely to catch up with me.
Finally, she got into the main topic. "I'm sure you know why I'm here. You know that Joplin Group isn't doing well recently."
She cast an unhappy glance at Chris.
Before Chris' arrival, Joplin Group was doing quite well. Ever since he stepped in, the share price had been dropping.
"You built Joplin Group with your bare hands. Can you bear to watch it fall?"
I knew Grandma was there for that. When I saw the red handprint on Murphy's face, I immediately guessed it.
