The Heart Left Behind (Cole and Yvonne) novel Chapter 337

Xavier needed to relax a little. Making him continue working would only make him even more aloof to everyone.

From the way Yvonne talked to Xavier, I could see that Yvonne must have constantly put pressure on him. Only under such a distorted way of life would Xavier form the habit of asking for permission to play.

At the thought about how much Xavier was suffering with her, I wanted to let Yvonne have a taste of her own medicine badly.

"You might not care about Xavier, but I do. He'll come with me today."

I would not let anyone take my son away.

"Cole!" Yvonne shrieked. I got Murphy to stop her while I took the children away.

My company had just started out, so I still had time. Once the company was on the market, I would not have time to take the children out to play.

Looking at the wide smiles on their faces made everything worthwhile.

After Xavier became famous, many paparazzi started stalking him. Even in the amusement park, there were at least five of them following us.

After chasing them away, Xavier looked at me with guilt in his eyes. He said timidly, "Daddy, I won't play anymore. You should take Jonas to play."

"Why? Don't you like it?" I bent down so that I wouldn't miss what Xavier was telling me.

"Daddy, those paparazzi were here for me." He was used to such a lifestyle. He was probably relieved to be with me. There were no cameras and no directors to tell him what to do. He could do whatever he wanted without the pressure.

He thought he could play as he wished, but he could no longer ignore the trouble that the paparazzi caused us.

He was about to call Yvonne to pick him up when Jonas stopped him. "Even if you go back now, they'll know that you were at the amusement park. You might as well have fun."
