The Heart Left Behind (Cole and Yvonne) novel Chapter 350

I rubbed my wrist. Stopping Sam just now had taken quite a bit of strength.

Sam's eyes were filled with uncontained rage.

"Do you think I'm actually afraid of you?" I asked as I imitated his earlier actions and circled him. My eyes were filled with ridicule and disdain.

He clenched his fists tightly, looking like he was already at the limits of his patience.

"You don't even like her at all. You're just hurting her," I said.

"And how do you know I don't like her?" Sam snapped back.

His tone was so assured that it felt laughable. "Who are you to accuse me like this?"

I sneered at him, "Sam, don't be so naive."

I clenched my fists and hit his shoulder.

Watching him stagger back, I scoffed, "Don't assume I don't know what's going on in your mind. You want to use public opinion to break me and Lorraine apart, don't you? Dream on."

I glanced around and watched the crowd as they retreated. They were all worried about getting involved and wanted to leave the hospital.

"Even crushing the Sommertons would be as easy as killing an ant to me," I said.

Whether it was public opinion or shares, I wasn't afraid of any scheme they could pull.

"Are you sure?" Sam asked.

He smirked smugly as he said, "You aren't even a part of Joplin Group anymore, and you're still talking yourself up so much?"

"Even if I were just a lowly employee, I could still take you down in seconds," I said.

I stared into his eyes and watched as his expression grew increasingly serious. I let out a pleased laugh. "Sam, I might still be somewhat wary of you if you had returned to Gerald's side. But you have nothing to your name right now. How are you even going to compete with me?"

He wasn't even as capable as Chad.

I turned around to leave but suddenly remembered something. I turned around to warn him, "I don't know how you found out about what happened to me at Fabian's place, but let me give you a warning. Don't use that to threaten me, or you'll die a horrible death."
