At Joplin Group, Chris threw some documents on the floor. "What kind of research are you all doing? The profits weren't supposed to be so low when I negotiated the deal."

The contract was a new collaboration between Chris and Fabian. He had met with Fabian using Cole's name. That was the only reason Fabian agreed to this deal.

But problems kept coming up after the deal was done. There were fatalities, and factories even shut down for a while. At the moment, it was a project that was not making any money. It was even putting the company in a difficult spot.

"That was what the estimates back then indicated, but we never expected so many delays. The workers' wages, material losses, and other expenses have all added up to at least ten million dollars."

"Ten million?" Chris exclaimed.

He slammed the table and stood up. "Do you realize how much ten million dollars is?"

He continued furiously, "Ten million dollars could cover all our employees' expenses for a year."

His expression grew darker as he felt his patience waning. "Figure out a way to get that ten million dollars yourself."

"Me? How am I supposed to do that?" Tanya asked.

She started panicking. "Mr. Joplin, the ten million dollars is only needed because of additional expenses due to the delays. Why don't you… try asking Mrs. Joplin Senior for help?"

Without that money, the factories wouldn't even be able to restart production, and they wouldn't be able to continue with the construction. They wouldn't be able to explain it to Fabian, let alone Grandma.

Back then, the project was only approved because she believed in its promising future. With so many issues popping up, Grandma would definitely question the company employees. If they couldn't provide a proper explanation or the funds, then they would be the ones to suffer.
