The Heart Left Behind (Cole and Yvonne) novel Chapter 371

Many of the employees at Joplin Group were experienced professionals, and my new company wasn't that much different from Joplin Group. Hiring the employees here actually served multiple purposes.

In just one morning, half of Joplin Group's employees had signed contracts with my company.

I looked at the documents on my desk, knowing it wouldn't be long until Grandma realized what was happening.

I smirked. Just thinking about what would happen to Chris made me chuckle.

Chris would never be capable enough to outsmart me!

At the Joplin residence, Frankie stood by with a grim expression as he watched Grandma. He lowered his posture respectfully as he waited for her instructions.

"Cole's trying to completely ruin the Joplin family. He's taking his revenge against us," Grandma mused.

She had always been on guard against me, but she never expected to be outmaneuvered when I left. Chris was nearby with a suitcase in hand. His expression was more pitiful than someone at a funeral.

"Grandma, can you please give me another chance?" he pleaded, but Grandma did not respond at all.

If it had been me pulling such a stunt, would she have been ruthless enough to send him overseas?

Chris turned to look at Henry and tried to fish for sympathy. "Dad, there won't be anyone around to take care of you if I go. Dad, can you really bear to see me go?"

Henry looked irritated by his pleading. "You did this to yourself. How dare you ask for my help?"

Even Henry had been dragged down by Chris. Henry had the uneasy feeling that Grandma would cast him out at any moment as well.

"Dad," Chris started.

But Henry merely cut him off with a sharp look.
