"Even if I acquire Joplin Group, I won't change the name. You can still remain the chairperson as well," I said.

Grandma seemed surprised by my response. "You'll let me stay on as the chairperson of Joplin Group?"

She couldn't bring herself to relinquish control in the end.

"Of course, but on the condition that you don't let me down," I replied.

I had my suspicions. Chris was just a discarded pawn now. He didn't react to my insults the same way he used to. Instead, he was so calm he seemed like a mannequin.

Grandma's expression changed instantly when she heard what I said. She shot a sharp look at Henry, who was standing by her side.

"You've got someone new again?" Grandma knew better than anyone how unfaithful this son of hers was. But hadn't he been keeping a low profile lately?

"Mom, don't listen to this kid's nonsense. I—" Henry tried to defend himself.

I interrupted him, "Grandma, I guess you don't know that your precious son has already brought his mistress into the family."
