The Ruthless Lycan King Fell For His Slave Mate novel Chapter 72

Lyra found herself outside the building as her body went through transformation. All fighting around her ceased as everyone, both rogues and warriors, turned to see where the thunderous howl had come from.

Devon, however, was not fazed. He went after Lyra, his fangs extended and ready to strike. However, when he jumped towards her, an invisible force slammed into him, thrusting him into the air and against the wall. That force was Lyra's aura, the ripples of which everyone in the yard felt.

As everyone watched in shock, Lyra transformed into a big white shewolf, dwarfing everyone around her. The air was equal parts full of uncertainty, fear, and awe.

While Lyra came to her full size, Devon got up from the ground. The thrust from earlier and the knock against the wall must have hurt, but he did not appear to be compromised in any way. He came at Lyra's wolf again with the same aggressiveness and energy from before.

Lyra swiped her front paw and hit him, sending him flying across the yard. Just like that, the fighting resumed. Lyra stood over Devon, watching him get up once again. He was like an indestructible piece of machine, working despite being broken.

Lyra was aware of what being under the control of witches could do to werewolves. It was possible for the target to keep fighting, paying no attention to broken limbs or far worse injuries, like a puppet on a string. As long as Devon could move his body, nothing could stop him from attacking her or others.

She recalled what Anna had told her about the Wolf Mother. Apparently, the Wolf Mother could control all werewolves and communicate with them regardless of their packs.

So, she should not only be able to control Devon, but everyone else. Gathering her mental energy, she sent out a compelling order, “Stop fighting!”

Lyra did not think it would work, but moments later, when the fighters around her appeared confused, she decided to give it another go.

“I order all of you to stop. Now!”
