To Be Yours Again novel (Alec and Jenny) novel Chapter 664

Alec felt that Blake was speaking the truth. Those two members of the Fausts were somewhat proud and arrogant, and if Blake were to approach them with the idea of collaboration, they would probably think she was joking. Even if she was a Watkins, they would doubt how much say she would have in the Watkins family. After all, she would need to be able to bring something of value to the table for them to consider working with her.

However, for Alec, securing a collaboration with Blake was good enough, and that was the difference.

"I will consider your proposal." Alec still didn't give a definite answer. He needed to carefully consider whether it was necessary.

Upon hearing that, Blake didn't continue to push her luck. "It's up to you. I'm just giving you a suggestion. After all, your current situation is not optimistic."

After that, the two did not continue that discussion, and Blake began to treat Alec.

It was already the next morning when James woke up in the hotel room. He felt sore all over his body as if he'd been crushed by a boulder. As he opened his eyes and took in his unfamiliar surroundings, he came to a realization that made him sick to his stomach. He instantly understood that his strange condition was probably due to the drugs from last night.

"James…" Jolene's coquettish voice sounded beside him, and he finally saw the woman in the bed with him.

"Jolene! I'm going to kill you!" The moment he saw it was her, he couldn't restrain himself and started choking her.

"James..." With her neck being strangled, Jolene looked terrified. She struggled to comprehend how he could be so rough with her after they'd had such passionate sex last night.

Although she knew what she'd done would enrage James, she assumed that he would, at most, chastise her harshly since there was no way to undo what had happened between them. Little did she know how merciless James could be—he didn't achieve his current position by being a benevolent and agreeable person.
