Jade sighed. She put down her utensils and said, "I know what you mean, but I just can't let it go. I wouldn't be in the mood to be in a relationship unless I surpassed him."
Whenever she thought of his betrayal, a surge of anger would wash over Jade. She had to succeed. That was the only way she would let things go.
Seeing how determined she was, Jenny couldn't say much else. "But this would be unfair to Max."
"I know. That's why I've never led him on. In fact, I want him to give up." Jade knew that she shouldn't be comparing herself to her ex-husband. Anyone would think that she couldn't let him go. However, she didn't care about that as much as proving herself.
Jenny sighed. "Love is so complicated."
"Oh, how old are you? Are you old enough to be saying stuff like that? Aren't you afraid of being laughed at?" Jade teased.
Jenny shook her head. "Don't think I'm inexperienced just because I'm young, Jade. I'm a divorcee, too."
Although she and Alec hadn't betrayed each other, Jenny felt her situation was much more complicated.
"What do you mean, divorce? You're still a virgin." Jade thought it was good of Alec for not taking advantage of Jenny in their two years of marriage.
They talked and laughed. Once they walked out of the cafeteria, Jade reminded Jenny to get herself a boyfriend. That way, she wouldn't be so bored. However, Jenny didn't feel the same. Most importantly, she didn't think she was bored at all.
She had too many things to handle. She had no time for love.

Loved the novel!! Hated the ending. It felt rushed to get it finished. I hope there is a sequel. There is a ton of potential for one....
The adds are getting worse! I shouldn't have to see porn to read a book...
