Chapter 296 Ava Defending Charlotte
Taken aback and feeling touched, Charlotte looked at Ava and felt like crying suddenly.
“My grandma’s words are meant for Arthur!
She’s defending me.” She thought.
Charlotte held back her tears and reached out to push the wheelchair, “Grandma, let’s go to your room. I haven’t seen what your room looks like yet.”
“Okay,” Ava responded.
After leaving the game room, Dylan led the way in front. The atmosphere was somewhat awkward, and he didn’t dare to say much. After taking everyone to the right door, he smiled and excused himself.

Ava lived in a suite. Upon entering, there was a small living room, which was connected to a balcony where one could enjoy distant views. To the right, after a turn, there was the bedroom with a king–sized bed. Opposite the bed was the TV, and there was also a wardrobe and a bathroom.
The environment was indeed top–notch.

Ava said, “I’m quite satisfied with this place. Living here in the future wouldn’t be a problem. It’s just a shame that I can’t bring over the chickens, ducks, and geese from my yard. I also had some flowers in the garden, and if no one takes care of them, they will definitely wither.”
Charlotte suggested, “Shall I take you back?”
“I’m not going back.” Ava waved her hand, “I’m a senior. Do you really want me to live in the town by myself?”
Charlotte was rendered silent.
She really didn’t know what Ava wanted.
However, having her living here would give Arthur leverage to use against Charlotte.
Therefore, the situation became a bit complicated.
“Since Ava wants to stay, she can live here. I’ve already talked with the person in charge. If you have any needs, you can talk to him.” Arthur said.
Ava’s gaze finally landed on Arthur, and she said, “You do look pretty good, but it’s a pity you’ve got an evil heart.”
Arthur remained calm. When dealing with the elderly, he had a bit more patience.
“Ava, you don’t know what happened to us. My marriage with her is a bit complicated.”

Ava replied, “Divorce her, then. Once you do, it won’t be complicated. You can do whatever you want, and she won’t be upset about you again.”
“We won’t get a divorce,” Arthur said in a deep voice, his handsome face looking cold. “Ava, Charlotte will always be my
wife.”
Ava looked at him and asked, “What? Are you in love with her?”
Arthur changed the topic, “We have a son. If we divorce, our son will grow up in a complicated family, which is not good for him. Things went well for the past five years. It’s just that we had some misunderstandings recently, which made her think about divorce. I will resolve the problems.”
Charlotte’s eyes became a bit colder.
Ava suddenly said to her, “Lottie, go get me some lunch. I’m hungry.”
