Outside the building, Charlotte observed her surroundings. The nursing home was decorated with flowers and greenery. There were places to walk and exercise and a lot of fitness equipment, as well as a small private hospital on–site to handle emergencies. 

After loitering about for a while, she couldn’t help but feel a bit worried, thinking, “Why hasn’t Arthur come out yet? 

Will Arthur be rude to my grandmother? 

If he is, he’ll really be a beast. 

I can’t wait anymore.” 

She was still worried, so she first went to the cafeteria to get lunch and then quickly returned to the floor where her grandmother’s room was located. 

Just as Charlotte came out of the elevator, she saw Arthur coming out of Ava’s room.

After all, Arthur was the man Charlotte had fallen in love with. How could he actually degrade himself by doing something to harm a defenseless old lady? 

Charlotte was taken aback, feeling inexplicably guilty. She glanced towards the door. Arthur looked indeed unhappy, and then he left. 

“Ahem… Grandma, what did you two talk about?” Charlotte changed the subject. 

Ava said, “I specifically sent you away just to talk about something that you can’t know about. I’m hungry. Just bring the 

food over.” 

Charlotte set up lunch and sat beside the table, propping her chin on her hand, and asked curiously, “Come on, tell me. Did you teach him a lesson? Did you scold him? Did you hit him?” 

Ava said, “I’m from a decent family. How could I possibly do

Ava glanced at her with a complex expression but said nothing more. She just began to cat. 

Charlotte picked up her phone and sent a location to Pete. “Pete will be here soon. Grandma, are you sure you want to live here 

now?” 

“Hmm.” Ava nodded, “This place is really nice. I will stay here.” 

Charlotte nodded and didn’t try to persuade her again. She had lunch with Ava and watched her take a nap before finally leaving 

the room. 

Pete also arrived but was stopped at the gate.
