Aiden Finnegan's Medical Odyssey novel Chapter 59

"You disgust me, Mr. Gray," Angelina growled.

Livid, Mason roared, "How dare you? You are suspended, effective immediately!"

"Oh yeah? I quit!" Angelina sneered. She took a piece of paper and pen from Mason's table and wrote a 'resignation letter'. Then she signed it and left the office.

The commotion attracted everyone's attention. Once Angelina left the office, Mason followed her, shouting, "Hey, don't forget that you quit! I didn't fire you, get it?" He looked at the other employees and roared, "And what are you people looking at? Get back to work!"

Everyone returned to their post, though they felt sorry for Angelina. Back when she was the president, she was nice to everyone, and they knew she was capable. They thought this was unfair to Angelina, yet they didn't go against Mason for fear he would fire them.

When Angelina returned to her office, Kevin stood at the doorstep, smiling smugly. "Well, well, where are you going, Ms. Gray?"

"Happy now, Mr. Gray?" Angelina sneered.

"What do you mean?" Kevin feigned ignorance.

Angelina laughed mirthlessly. "Drop the act. I've quit my job. What happens to this company now is none of my business."

"So impatient. I was just going to keep an eye on the new department for a month. You'd still be the president in the end. You still need more training, I see," Kevin said, pretending that he thought Angelina's resignation was a shame.

Angelina sneered. "I know what you're up to, so drop the act. You disgust me." Angelina took her box of stuff and got to the exit. "Out of my way," she said.

Kevin moved to the side, and Angelina left. When she came out of the company, she looked back once and laughed at herself. "Angelina, you call yourself the top woman of Keyland, and yet you lose your marriage and career in a single day." Then she went to the car park.

Back in the president's office, Kevin asked, "Did she actually quit, Dad?"

"Yes." Mason smiled. "That saves us quite some trouble."

"Great!" Kevin laughed. "Now this company belongs to our family!"

Mason looked at his son sternly. "I've paved the way forward for you. Kevin, you have to rein yourself in and learn some discipline from now on. The company is counting on you."

"Got it, Dad." Kevin left the office, and the first thing he did was call his friend. "Get the gang together tonight. We're having some fun. Yeah, and get the best girls that money can buy."

After a short break, Aiden picked up a pen and wrote down a prescription, then he handed it to Reece. "Mr. Barker, get these herbs for me."

Reece took a look at the prescription, and he froze. What's this for?

"A pill?" Reece was surprised. Shouldn't it be some kind of liquid? He huddled closer and noticed dozens of black pills sitting in the pot. "You were making pills?" Reece's eyes went wide. He had heard of that technique, but this was his first time seeing it in action.
