An hour later, the car pulled into the school’s parking lot. After Louis parked, the three of them stepped onto campus together.

This elite school didn’t hold back–it flexed its wealth and prestige right away through its sprawling grounds and grand architecture. Freya stared at the old European–style buildings, trying to estimate how much the marble–paved plaza in front of them must have cost. She came to a firm conclusion: rich people must get fleeced a lot.

And it wasn’t just Louis getting fleeced–plenty of others were too. For example, the very familiar A–list actor not far ahead.

Since arriving in this world, Freya had binged through multiple movies and had been blown away by this actor’s performances. But now, the same man–who publicly claimed to be single–was holding hands with an adorable little girl. The girl’s head bobbed as she spoke in a sweet, childish voice, full–on baby talk.

Aiden had been chatting with Freya, but when she didn’t respond for a while, he looked up and saw her staring blankly into the distance. He followed her gaze and spotted the actor Jason. He instantly understood why Freya was spaced out. Tugging at her arm, Aiden called out,

“Freya, Freya, stop staring. That’s Jason. The kid he’s holding is his secret daughter. If you keep looking, he’s gonna notice and think it’s weird!”

Freya lowered her head and asked curiously, “But didn’t he say he wasn’t married? Is that pretty woman beside him his wife? He’s walking his daughter in so openly–he’s not worried about the paparazzi catching him?”

“No way! If our school couldn’t guarantee privacy, no one would come here. Didn’t you notice that ever since we drove up the mountain road, there hasn’t been a single random person wandering around?” Aiden had been about to tease Freya like he usually did, but when he saw the curious look in her eyes, he remembered that she had only ever gone to normal schools. So his tone softened.
