Chapter 112 Orientation

What Aiden didn’t say out loud was that the student body at this school was much more complicated than Freya realized- and so were the dynamics. Louis‘ loss of power didn’t just mean he’d get picked on. Things were far less simple than that. But after a private talk with Louis, the frustration and resentment Aiden had been holding onto had completely dissipated.

His uncle had told him that this was part of life’s trials–and that he had to endure it himself if he wanted to grow up.

Thinking about those words, Aiden clenched his small fists. Louis had said that the hardship in front of him was just one tiny obstacle in a very long life. If he couldn’t handle even this, there was no way he’d ever become someone great. And Aiden knew for sure -he would be someone great. So he wasn’t afraid at all!

As for Freya–well, she was a girl. Better not tell her about any of this. Otherwise, she’d only worry.

Freya, for her part, was just a regular person in her past life. She didn’t understand the deeper layers behind all this. All she saw was a place full of elites and wealthy families. Surely that meant the students had better manners too, right? Kids like that bratty rich boy from before were probably rare here. So she relaxed a little.

“Make sure you study hard, okay? Don’t let your uncle’s efforts go to waste. But if anyone bullies you, don’t keep it to yourself. You have to tell us. We adults will figure something out.”

Freya made a quiet mental note: I may not have money or power, but I can write. If anyone bullies Aiden, I’ll write them into my next novel. Who knowsmaybe one of them will end up transmigrating into it, just like I did.

“I knooow. Freya, you’re not even old, but you nag like an old lady.” Aiden tugged at her hand. “Come on, I’ll give you a tour. Louis probably won’t catch up with us for a while.”

He patted his chest confidently. “Good thing my uncle’s always thinking ahead. Otherwise, I’d probably have to transfer out right now. I did think about transferring before, but who doesn’t make dumb decisions now and then? Anyway, I’m definitely going to finish school here–and I’ll graduate as one of the top students too!”
