“Do you want to go play too?” Freya asked Aiden. Seeing the other kids having fun, she figured that was why he’d brought her over. Honestly, the equipment looked pretty fun–even as an adult, Freya was tempted to try it herself.

Aiden wasn’t particularly interested in any of it. But noticing Freya’s curiosity–and remembering she was a girl–he figured it was his duty, as a boy and as his uncle’s nephew, to help his uncle spoil his future wife.

So, acting all proud and cool, he nodded. “Something like that. You come too.”

And so, the activity area suddenly had one more very energetic and seemingly joyful “mother and son” pair. Some of the kids who had been playing on their own glanced over at them, then at their own parents–who were either on their phones or in the middle of calls–and suddenly felt a little jealous.

One by one, the kids started running over to their parents. Many of them tried to tug their moms or dads into joining the fun. Some succeeded, some didn’t–but in no time, the activity area had grown twice as lively.

“Ms. Sophia, just ahead is our student activity center,” one of the school’s reception staff said with a pleasant smile, gesturing howard the nearby area. “As you can see, the children love it here. It’s only the first day of school, and the playground’s already buzzing. So your child will definitely enjoy it here.”

From the staff’s manners and poise, it was obvious this was a high–level institution. Her professionalism was practically flawless.
